BRUBAKER Samuel G. Brubaker, formerly of 1632 20th Altoona and more recently of 50 Chestnut Glrard, Ohio, died at 3:20 a.m, yesterday at the NorthsIde Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio after several months Illness.

He was born Jan. 18, 1894 at Altoona, a son of William and Jane Plowman Brubaker. He was married to Genevleve Winters 48 years ago. Surviving are the widow, five daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Martha) Miller, and Mrs.

Clyde (Mabel) Rltchey, Altoona; Mrs. Ralph (Shirley) Frantz, Tyrone; Mrs. Robert (Mary Jane) Davis, of McDonald, Ohio; Mrs. Dorothy Gebhart, Glrard, Ohio; A son Lewis died two years ago. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Altoona, and retired In 1956 from the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. where he was a machinist's helper, after 33 years of service. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood, In charge of the Rev. Charles Zimmerman.

Burial will be in Logan Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Tyrone Hospital ADMITTED Robert Orr, 1057 Jefferson ave.

CHAPLAIN FOR THE WEEK Rev. Stephen Margush AGNES JANE JOHNSON Mrs. Agnes Jane Johnson, 511 W. 14th Tyrone, died at 5:15 a.m. today at Tyrone Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born NOV. 11, 1884 at Clay Huntingdon a daughter of John and Christena Johnson Nonemaker. On Aug. 14, 1907 at Three Springs, she was married to Wilfred H. Johnson.

He died Oct. 4, 1962. Surviving are two sons, Oris at home; and Earl of Tyrone; also five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Leroy Nonemaker, Altoona; Edgar, Orls and Mrs. Colista Shaffer, all of Three Springs; Mrs. Myrtle Roher, of Chambersburg; a brother and a sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Co- HARRY E. Harry Edward Irvin, Grazier- vllle, died Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at Hollldaysburg State Hospital where he had been a patient since Jan. 31, He had been in failing health for more than two years. He was born Feb.

19, 1893 at Bald Eagle, a son of Edward and Harriet Kline Irvln. On July 25, 1955 at Cumberland, he was married to Esther Carper, He was a lifelong resident of the Tyrone area and the last of his Immediate family. Surviving are the widow, the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Ab (Anna) Dillon; Edward, both of Northwood; Mrs. Jesse (Gladys) Templeton, Bald Eagle; Thomas, of Phlllpsburg.

Also surviving are the following stepchildren: Herbert Walte, Donald Walte, Mrs. John (Geraldine) Gibson, all of Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. Alfred (Dorothy) Parks, of Greenwood, and 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was of the Protestant faith, a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook Ladder Fire Co. and Moose Lodge 25.

He retired in 1963 from the Westvaco Corp. where he was a laborer. He had 50 years service. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Feller Memorial Funeral Home in charge of the Rev.

Melvln B. Miles, pastor of Fuoss Mills Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Burial will be in Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until the hour of service on Friday.

lurnbia Avenue United Methodist Church, Tyrone, and taught Sunday School there for 22 years. She was a member of Mountain City Lodge of the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone, In charge of the Rev. Leroy Harrison.

Friday, son of Harold and Delores Friday, a member of the 101st Airborne Division who returned recently after a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam, was guest of honor at a party given last week by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Friday, Bald Eagle. Cold Wave Warnings Given In 7 States Cold wave warnings were in effect this morning for portions of seven states from Nebraska and Kansas to Indiana as cold air swept south and east across the region. Temperatures fell 30 to 40 degrees as the cold air mass The temperatures at St. Louis, Moo, dropped 46 degrees in less than nine hours. Snow spread across the Great Lakes region ahead of the cold. New falls of two to six inches were common from Ohio as far west as Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. John Helsley, Tyrone RD 2, are the parents of a son born Monday in Mercy Hospital, Altoona. Mrs. Helsley is the former Patricia Miller.

A special feature of the Y.M.C.A. Washington Birthday Carnival Saturday will be a game in which the participants actually attempt to cut down a cherry tree. A painted axe is so strategically located that when hit by a thrown ball, the tree topples.
