for the wedding of Miss Martha Melissa Steele, daughter of Bruce D. and the late Mrs. Freda Shue Steele, Sheepford Mechanicsburg RD 3. to WillUm Norman Miller, son of Dr. and Mrs.

Norman Miller, 414 W. Fifth Tyrone. The couple was united in mar- rlage by the Rev. Duncan MacPherson. The bride wore a gown of silk cloud peau de soie with sweetheart neckline and long tapered sleeves.

The gown was bordered in re-embroidered alencon lace. The capelike, full-length chapel train was bordered in matching lace on gown. A bow of white peau de soie with orange blossoms and illusion veiling, finger-tip length, complemented the gown. Her flowers were gardenias, stephanotis. and she carried a white Bible.

Haas. A reception followed the ceremony in the church. The couple left for a week's trip to Cape Cod, after which they will reside in Tyrone. The bride is a graduate of Shippensburg State College and has taken graduate work at Penn State University. Norman Wood, Peach Bottom, Lancaster County. VANDERGRIFT (UPI) A 28-year-old skydiver was killed Sunday when his parachute failed to open during a jump at the nearby Markle Airport. The victim, John E. Marko, of East Pittsburgh, was a member of the Mon Kiski Sports Parachute Club. UNIONTOWN (UPI) A 70-year-old hotel clerk was held today in Fayette County Jail in the fatal shooting of a bartender.

Albert Polander, 30, bartender at the Ritz Hotel, was shot to death Saturday night in front of the building on Main Street. A short time later, Howard Firestone, the night clerk at the Ritz, surrendered to police. Authorities said the shooting resulted from a quarrel between Firestone and Polander over the sale of a gun. WAYNESBURG (UPI) -Four supervisors on duty when 37 miners died in a blast at the Robena No. 3 mine went on trial today in Greene County Court charged with violation of the state mining code.

The charges were filed by a state mine inspector following an investigation into the Dec. 6 1962 explosion.
