Space specials at a glance "Apollo 11: As It Happened'' The 1969 Apollo 11 mission to the moon is detailed as covered by ABC News, from blastoff on July 16 to splashdown and recovery in the Pacific Ocean on July 24. The six-hour special airs at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday on PBS Channel 24. "One Small Step" Using footage from the NASA library, this 90-minute documentary tracks the developments and breakthroughs of the space race that led to the 1969 lunar landing. 9 p.m.
