Lt.

Lee Alexander said crews fired .30 caliber machine guns at fixed and moving targets. The tanks' main armament, 90 i i guns, will be fired this summer during training at Ft. Irwin, Alexander said. Field kitchens were set up at the Sahuarita range to serve the weekend encampment. Lt.

Malcom Zwolinski, safety officer, was in charge of the practice firing. Eight candidates, all but one of them Democrats, are running for the seven seats. The town hall courtroom is the only polling place.

Voting ends at 7 p.m. Democrats seeking the seats are Joe G. Barraza, George Barringer, Joseph A. Castillo, J. Q.

Elias, Ernest Mejia, Frank M. Santa Cruz and Jesus D. Ybarra. Frank Hillary is the lone Republican to challenge the Democratic slate. Mejia is the present mayor.

He was commissioned in 19-12, and served in the South Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II.
