New Valley Forge inn west of Duncanaville, along the William Penn highway, was the scene of two very delightful New Year's day parties on Wednesdad evening.

The groups wore made up respectively of Rouring Spring and Hollidayaburg resident and in euch cage 8L banquet WAS spread. Following the serving intereating programs were rendered. The inn was also the scene of numerous gatherings of family groups and private dinner parties on the holiday. A. B.

O'Hara was numbered among the guest at a New Year's eve function at Bedford. Two automobiles were damaged in collision at the corner of Third avenud aLid Thirteenth street about 9 o'clock Tuesday night, but none of the occupants received any injuries, The accident ia said to have resulted when rapidly moving vehicle coming west on Third avenue, plowed into another machine traveling aouth on Thirteenth street when the latter entered the main thoroughfare after stopping at the trafile sign. Tho motorist entering Third avenue fared the worst in the mix -up, while the other WAM maid to have been at fault. The names of the participants were not learned, but nelther were from this vicinity. Neither machine was disubled.

Miss Dichl is the hostess for the month. A full attendance has been requested. Funeral rites for Mrs. Mary Ann Parker, ong nt Duncansville'a best. known residents, were conducted on Wednesday afternoon at the family residence at 1301 Third avenue.

Her pastor, Rev. Julian Park, of the Duncunaville Presbyterian church, ofand a large group of relatives and friends were in attendance to pay their Inst respects. In his remarks, her pastor paid a glowing tribute of respect to the memory of the departed one. Moyer has resigned the pastorate of the local Reformed church, the resignation to become effective in February. Rev. and Mrs. Moyer have many friends in this vicinity who regret their departure. Dr.

William Tennis was discharged from the Center County hospital last week after an operution and treatment for an injury to his right hand, the result of an accident while operating 8 chop anill. Mr. and Mrs. John Kimport and Miss Anna Dale spent Christmas at the C. M.

Dale home on the branch. This community was grieved to receive news of the death of Miss Flora K. Snyder which occurred Tuesday evening, Dec. 24, at the Jersey Shore hospital, The deceased was the daughter pot David and Blanche (Keller) Snyder and was born in Potter township, May 5, 1908. Flora was a gradof the Boalsburg High school class of 1926 and later attended a business school in Williamsport.

Surviving are her father, four sisters, Mra. Cluudia Stamn of Erie, Mra. Verna Houtz, Lemont, Mrs. Mary Konnan, Oak Hall, Mry. Marguret Rishel, Boalsburg and one brother Keller Snyder, Bellefonte.

Funeral services were held in the Reformed church Saturday at 10 o'clock, Rev. W. W. Moyer, officiuting. Mrs.

She will remain at the hogpital for some time that the fracture may be given proper care and attention. The B. P. O. D. members enjoyed a most delicious turkey banquet in their beautiful new lodge home dining hall last evening.

The happy group assembled around the banquet tables at 8 o'clock and for nearly two hours the tempting menu and the clever dinner program gave genuine realization of contentment and happiness to each one. Seventh avehue nuffered slight stroke of paralysis, early Monday morning at his home. Mr. Mathers has not been In good health for some time, but was feeling better, when he was stricken with a partial paralysis of the left leg. Mr. Mathers is well known in the Thirteenth ward, having been a resl-, dent of Juniata for almost forty years.
