Court-Martial 4 WASHINGTON, March 30 (UP). The U. S. Court of Military Appeals ruled today that civilians accompanying the Armed Forces overseas may be tried in military courts. Father Vlossak Dies at Age of 91 Special to The Inquirer READING, March 30.

The Rev. Francis C. Vlossak, first and oldest Slovak priest in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and former pastor of St. Agnes Church, Philadelphia, died today in Reading Hospital. He was 91.

He was convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon in connection with a game of "Russian roulette." It also affirmed the involuntary manslaughter conviction of James Robertson, a merchant seaman cused of killing another seaman while stationed with the Armed Forces in Japan. WITH AIR FORCE The court said Burney, who was stationed with the Air Force in Japan, seriously wounded John L.

Clark, another civilian technician. They had been discussing "Russian roulette," in which the player puts a 'Single bullet in a revolver, spins the chamber and then places the gun at his head and pulls the trigger. He was 64. Mr.

Montgomery, who also had a home in Glenmoore, was associated with Albrecht's Nurseries, Merion. He was graduated from Cornell university, ana was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fra ternity and the Orpheus Club, and was a vestryman at St. Mark's Honey Brook. A brother, the late William W. Montgomery, Jr was a law associate of former Supreme Court Justice Owen J.

Roberts. Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife, the former Abigail R. Burton; two sons, Gilbert and William 3d; two daugh ters, Mrs. John O.

Piatt, and Esther Montgomery; four brothers, John Lk, Richard Horace and Sidney, and two sisters, Mrs Earl Gatchell and Mrs. Harold E. Austin. A service will be held at I A. M.

Monday at St. Martin's Church, Radnor. Another will be conducted at 1:30 P. M. Monday at St.

Mark's Church. Burial will be in St. Mark's churchyard. ARTHUR M. HARTMANN NEW YORK, March 30.

Ar thur Martinus Hartmann, a violinist who made his debut at the age of 6 and later appeared as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, died early today in St. Vincent Hospital. He was 76 and lived in Woodstock, N. Y. Mr.

Hartmann toured the United States and Eu rope as a violin soloist and played with Debussy in Paris. He was widely known for his violin tran scriptions. M. Sfernfield, Scholar, Dies Morris Sternfield, of 1101 Gilham a noted Hebrew scholar and a contributor to Hebrew publications throughout the world, died yesterday at Deborah Sanitorium, Browns Mills, N. J.

He was 92. Mr. Sternfield was a high school teacher in his native Russia before coming to the United States in 1893. In addition to his writing and teaching in this country, engaged in the dry goods and real estate businesses until he retired 35 years ago. His first wife, Clara, died in the flu epidemic of 1919.

He is survived by his second wife. Rose; a son, Herman; six daughters, Mrs. Bella Brickman, Mrs. Jean- Schwartz, Mrs. Frances Goodis, Mrs.

Dorothy Morris, Mrs. Anne Weinberg and Mrs. Elizabeth Stanton: five grandchildren. 21 great-grandchildren, and seven Services will be held at 2 P. M.

Mrs. Marple, a native of Chester county, for many years was a teacher in the Sunday School of the old Forty-third Street Methodist Church and was a for mer superintendent of the Cradle Roll there. For the last 40 years she had been active the man agement of the Methodist Home for the Aged. A son, Harry B. Marple, sur vives.

Cyril and Methodius Church, Bethlehem, remaining there until 1907 when he was assigned to Philadelphia as pastor of St. Agnes Church, 4th and Brown sts. He raised the funds for the building of the church. He returned to Bethlehem Jn 1911 and stayed until 1929 when he resigned to make his home in Shillington. He served a year as chaplain at Fountain Springs Academy, six years as chaplain of a CCC Camp at Shillington, and assisted many priests in the area.
