Miss Sara G. Cohen, ho died March 21 In Temp'. University Hospital, knew her eyes were her most priceless possession. Few persons were less fortunate, she reasoned, than those whj could not see. The more she though t about this, the more determined :he became to do something about It. EYES FOUND UNSUITABLE She had heard of successful operations In which the sight of a blind person was restored by havjig the cornea transplanted from a dead person. And so. In her will, probated yesterday, she bequeathed her eyes to an eye bank "to help two blind people to see." An examination, however, showed her eyes were unsuited for tlds purpose, making it Impossible to comply with the bequest, a family spokes man said. BROTHERS GET ESTATE Miss Cohen, who was 49, lived at 2109 N. Front st. She was the daughter of Jacob Cohen and tie late Ronye Cohen. Moeller COPENHAGEN. Denmark, April 13 rNS. John Christmas Moeller, former Danish Foreign Minister, died of a heart attack at hU Copenhagen home today. He 54. Moeller fled from Denmark during the Nazi occupation and became leader of the free Danish movement with headquarters in London. William P. Kerlgan William P. Kerigan, of 402 Haver- ford ave , Narberth. an employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad for 52 years before he retired Jan. 1, died Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Thomas J. Duane, at 7109 Llan-falr road. By wood. He was 72. Mr. Kerigan, husband of the late Emily Wholey Kerigan. Joined the railroad"s employ in 1895. At the time of his retirement, he was chief clerk to the road foreman of engines. Besides Mrs. Duane, he Is survived by another daughter, Mrs. George Metcalf, of Nanking, China; a sister, Miss Katherine Kerigan, of Brook- line, and a brother, Frank J., of Cynwyd. Solemn Requiem Mass will be sung at 10 A. M. tomorrow in St. Laurence's Church. Highland Park. Burial will be in Holy Cross Ceme tery. Mrs. E. W. Mrs. Cora Worthington. mother of Miss Ruth Kathryn Worthington, a teacher at Harding Junior High School, Philadelphia, died at her home here tonight. She was 73. Mrs. Worthington, widow of Eber W, Worthington, was born in Adams county, graduated from Shlppens-burg State Teachers College and lived here for 47 years. Besides the daughters, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna F. Brymesser, of Carlisle. Funeral services will be held from Mrs. Worthington' home at 7:30 P. M. Thursday. Mrs. Jessie P. Lockharf BEAUMONT, Tex., April 13 (AP). Mrs. Jessie Pew Lockhart, sister of the late J. Edgar Pew, former president of the Sun Oil Co., died at her home today after a lingering Illness. She was 80. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. R. W. Pack, of Philadelphia, and a brother, John E. Pew, a Sun Oil Co. official In Philadelphia. The body will be sent to Mercer, Pa., for buria' Wednesday.. bituarp Mrs. Patrick McLaughlin Mrs. Mary E. McLaughlin, a Philadelphia resident for 40 years, died at the Century Apartments, 675 N. 15th st., Monday. She ws 74. Mrs. McLaughlin was a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality of the Church of the Gesu. the Loyal Order of Moose auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters of Donegal. She was born in Gurtin, County Donegal, Ireland. Surviving are her husband, Patrick; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Addal-mann; two sons, John A. and Joseph N., and eight grandchildren, all of Philadelphia. Solemn Requiem Mass will be sung Saturday at the Church of the Gesu, 17th and Stiles sts. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Oakmont. J. V. St. John Rites Solemn Requiem Mass will be sung at 10 A. M. tomorrow at St. Vincent de Paul's Church, 103 E. Price St., for Joseph V. St. John, of 632 Naomi st., who died suddenly Monday In Germantown Hospital. He was 62. A native of Philadelphia, Mr. St. John had been employed as a laborer in construction work here for many years. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Prestno; two brothers, Bernard and Percy; a sister. Mrs. Kathryn Iverson, and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Chester H. Rowell BERKELEY, Calif., April 13 (AP). Chester H. Rowell, well-known editor, died last night at the age of 80. He was a friend of every United States President since Grant. Illness forced him to retire two years ago as columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle. Mr. Rowell had attained fame as the militant editor of the Fresno, Calif., Republican and was editor of the Chronicle from 1932 to 1935. He was an author, lecturer, edu cator and political scientist. Pfc Nathan Sklar Rites Military rites and religious services will be held from the Joseph Levine and Ron Chapel, 1512 N. Broad st., at noon Sunday for Pfc. Nathan K. Sklar, of Cobbs Creek Court Apartments, 63d and Chestnut sts., who was killed in action near St. Lo, France, July 16, 1944. He was 31. Private Sklar was a graduate of Temple University School of Com merce, which he attended on a scholarship awarded for high scholastic standing at Overbrook High School. He also was graduated from the Temple University of Law. In addition to receiving several citations overseas, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Surviving are his wife, his parents, Philip and Rose Sklar, and a brother, Henry. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Emalea. P. Warner WILMINGTON, Del., April 13 (AP). Ninety-five-year old Mrs. Emalea Pusey Warner, who aided in establishing a women's college at the University of Delaware, died today following a year's illness. A clubwoman and pioneer In social welfare activities, Mrs. Warner was an advocate of higher education for women. She was the Arst woman member of the University of Dela ware board of trustees and was one of the founders and first president of the Delaware Federation of Women's Clubs. Rev. D. Chalmers ..Fulton Rev. D. Chalmers Fulton, founder and former pastor of the Sherwood United Presbyterian Church, 56th st. and Willows ave., died yesterday at his home in Youngstown, O. He was 68. Widely-known In the United Presbyterian Church ns a builder of churches, Mr. Fulton directed the building of the Sherwood Church and held a pastorate there from 1917 to 1928. Mrs. William J. Vollmer Mrs. Laura M. Vollmer, a member ol the congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Trinity, 18th and Wolf sts., for 50 years, died Monday at her home, 2230 S. 21st st., after an illness of several months. She was 64. Mrs. Vollmer, daughter of the late Elwell A. and Julia Read Albertson, is survived by her husband. William J. Vollmer; three sons, William E., Clayton M., and J. Hofer, a retired leather worker, died suddenly on Monday at his home, 5044 N. 4th st. He was 84. Mr. Hofer is survived by two daughters. Miss Louise Hofer and Bertha Hofer, and a son, John. I W.Harper Dies, Merchant Tailor John W. Harper, who had been active for many years as a merchant tailor In the central city, died Monday afternoon. He was 75. He was graduated in 1911 from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance, and maintained his place of business at 220 S. 16th st. He was a member of the Masonic order, the City Business Club, and the Custom Tailors and Designers Association. Surviving are his wife, Llna Miller Harper, with whom he made his home at 8144 Arlington ave.. Highland Park; a daughter, Florence, and two brothers, Harry Harper, of Philadelphia, and Herbert Harper, of North Wales. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 o'clock tonight at Oliver Bair's, 1820 Chestnut St.. followed by interment In Wilkes-Barre. TSgt. McCaughin Rites Military funeral services for TSgt. Rodney McCaughin, who was killed in action while flying with the Air Corps over France on April 28, 1944, while be conducted at 2 P. M. Friday at his home, 2215 Ogden st. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill. Participating in the services will be McCall Post 20, American Legion, and Hamilton Village Post 488, VFW Sgt. McCaughin, who was 18 at the time he was killed, enlisted in the service in November. 1943, while a student at Benjamin Franklin High School. Surviving are his father, Morris W., and a sister, Mrs. Margaret McLean. Connelly Leaves $100,000 to Widow John P. Connelly, former Philadelphia city solicitor, left an estate of $100,000 to his widow, Mrs. Emma J. Connelly, according to terms of his will, which was offered for probate yesterday in Montgomery County Court at Norristown. Connelly, who served as solicitor during the administration of Mayor J.
