Navy Describes SleekNew Sub as The Best Fighter of Any in World PORTSMOUTH, N. Or combine franks in casserole with Spanish rice, cooked spaghetti or macaroni with sauce or with scalloped potatoes. Frank-on-a-bun suggestion — Plan on one frank each for a hearty luncheon or supper sandwich. Since quality franks are thoroughly cooked as purchased, the sandwich may be a cold one or the franks may be heated through, as you prefer. Split a bun, toast it and spread it with butter or margarine and mustard. Cover with a frank slit in half and top with a slice of nippy cheese.'Broil until the cheese is melted, brown and bubbly. The Frank Quail is a variation of this combination. Simply slit the franks not quite through and insert a stick of cheese. Wrap spiral fashion with bacon and fasten with a toothpick. Bake or broil until the bacon is crisp and the cheese 'melted. For an appetizer, cut franks in one-inch slices and spear with a toothpick for easy eating. Have a small bowl of barbeuce sauce.
