JUicia Marl Make-up Is Satisfying Art Chore Applying make-up can be a very pleasant occupation. And the result can be truly satisfying if the Job is well done. Approach the task as though you were an artist beginning, a painting. After, all, you are using paints, and the completed picture will be the face you show to the world. Make-up applied cleverly will enhance your best features and distract attention, from those that are less than perfect. Lipstick, particularly, should be handled with care, for when used with a slap 'and dash, it can make a caricature of even the prettiest face. No matter how unattractive you may think your mouth, you can make it lovely. For the key to improving on nature is the right shade of lipstick, perfectly applied. · * * · BEFORE USING lipstick, be sure your lips are dry and that all traces of old lipstick are removed. Use of a lip brush will give you a clearer outline. But whether you use a brush or the lipstick itself, start with the upper lip, moving from the center to the outer edges of the mouth. Make the curves slightly rounded, with each bow directly under each nostril. Draw the lower lip in an even, smooth curve. Then open your mouth in the shape of an "O" and connect the color on both lips with your brush or lipstick. If your lips are too thin, work just a little outside your lip- line for a fuller look. If they are too full, work a bit inside the Upline. Your lipstick will last longer If you let it set after the first application, blot it, dust your lips lightly with powder and apply a second coat of lipstick Helena Rubinstein, one of tht world's foremost cosmetic au thorities, believes that ever} woman should own four to six different shades of lipstick to blend with her various costume and her natural coloring. *. * * _ · NOW THAT decorative lip utick cases have been added t MISS PEACH By Mell ALL PLANTS · ARE.
