Polk Co., auto industry statisticians said today the total, for the year's first three-quarters will come to approximately 4,GOO ; - 000. The figure Includes an estimated 1,873,000 for July,' August and September. Total passenger car and truck registrations for the year' may reach 7,135,000, Polk .officials said. The auto factories already .have built about 6,750,000 cars and trucks this year. The year's probable total has been estimated at as high as 8,000,000 units.
