10-A C&iltiretcw Tuesday Morning, September 26,2678 \ 4, \l VISION THIS PAGE SPONSORED AND PAID FOR BY THESE PROGRESSIVE BUSINESS FIRMS OF GAIVESTON COUNTY Melody Record Shop Is Galveston County's Headquarters For Fine Music Melody Record Shop at 509 Moody is Galveston County's headquarters for music. Boss man C. Q. Ammann has anticipated what customers will be wanting now that the outdoor living of summer will soon give way to the indoor living of autumn and winter. He has an extensive inventory of radios, stereos, cassettes, TVs and records, sufficient to meet the needs and wants of people now, as well as when the holiday season comes and people get ready to do their"Christmas shopping. Visa and Master Charge cards are honored. A specialty with Melody Record Shop is the Sony line, and for good reasons. Ammann says whenever people want the best tn listening, they look to Sony because when sound comes first, Sony comes first, all across America, all across the world. Sony research and engineering make it possible for everyone to enjoy big high fidelity sound, even on a small budget. It gives people quality features they won't find on other equipment at any price, combined with the kind of long-lasting quality only Sony can provide. Sony hi-fi equipment makes music sound like the live performance, rich bass and well-defined treble that make casual listening and parties all the more fun. Sophisticated Sony technology packs plenty of power into these compact stereo packages. Not only is that power the life of the party, it adds life-like quality to "peaks" in the music you play, like sudden horn or drum attacks. Sony sound equipment looks great because it has the kind of quiet elegance that adds greatly to a room's appearance without dominating and with none of the embarassing gaudiness you'll find in other equipment. The good- looking simulated woodgrain finish on the Sony hi-fi equipment is made to wipe clean and resist stains while the brushed aluminum faceplates on the power units and wheat-colored grille cloths on the speakers add highlights, the kind of high points that set off any room in the house. Sony has done the work so you don't have to. The record changers on some of the compacts offer features like a magnetic cartridge and diamond stylus for lighter tracking and increased fidelity. It has a total system shut-off so you can lull yourself to sleep. A four-pole synchronous motor reduces wow and flutter and there is damped cueing so you can select cuts without making scratches. The cassette units use one-touch recording to let you use your ears instead of your fingers. Front-loading cassette units have digital counter and automatic shut-off during both recording and playback. Power sections feature built-in loudness control to increase bass and treble at low volumes, giving you all of your music and some quiet too. Look at the Sony line and you'll notice logically arranged and sized independent tone controls, with push-button function switches and A-B speaker selectors to help you get the most from your music, plus large tuning meters. You get to choose whichever Sony Sensi-Bass speakers are right for your listening. These are impressive, good-looking ART and CRAFTS SUPPLIES AMERICAN HANDICRAFTS ASSOCIATt MALI!
