A p«ir of parakeets (love birds) which are native to the Antilles are shown perched on a pair of gold wedding bands, creating a design departing from the usual portraits of the royal couples. o o o Western Samoa has released an attractive set of four new issues marking the opening of that Polynesian state's first deep sea wharf. Aerial views of the new wharf are shown in multicolor, and reproduced by photogravure. The new stamps are in denominations of Id., 8d., II-, and 3/-. The economy of Western Samoa is concerned with growing of coconuts, bananas and other tropical crops. The new deep sea wharf will open these crops to shipment. o o o The 4-cent Lincoln stamp in coil form will be issued at Springfield, 111., on May 28, 1966. during the Lincoln Society of Philately convention. The design and color (black) will be identical to the recently issued Lincoln stamp in sheet form. Since the design is vertical, the perforations will appear to the left and right of the portrait. Collectors desiring first day cancellations may send addressed envelopes, together with remittance to cover the cost of the stamps to be affixed, to the Postmaster, Springfield, 111. 62701. J»OSES AS CHURCH JANITOR Burglar Drops f 1,000 !Ajs Priest Gives Chase ; Police are hunting today for a daring'young burglar :v#th the nerve of a confidence man, who stole about :$i;400 from a church safe, but left $1,000 of the loot behind when chased by a priest. « The youth gained access to the Sunday collections ofjt. Ambrose Catholic Church, ---30? S. Tucson Blvd., yesterday years old, and of average height morning by talking his way past -a. fanitor, a secretary and a priest in the rectory, officers ·reported.
