Dynamite Kills iMine Worker SAFFORD, Nov. 3.--John M. Plumb, 53, was killed instantly late yesterday afternoon when a stick of dynamite lie was working with exploded accidentally. · Plumb , and his son were doing location work for the Consolidated Copper Mining Corp. at a spot miles north of here near the ok San Juan mines. They were work ing with the dynamite when the fatal accident occurred. The son was not injured. Plumb is survived by his wife two sons and three daughters. He was a resident in the Gila valle; all his life. Funeral arrangements, will he an nounced later by the Caldu-el funeral chanel. Holdup Men 'Get $30 It Mesa' Service Station MESA, Nov. 3. Australian Cited; Wounds Are Fatal; TOKYO, Nov. 3. (U.PJ --Lt. Col. Charles H. Green, 30-year-old commander of the Australian battalion in Korea, was fatally, wounded while leading his men in a two-day battle to link up with American paratroopers dropped ahead of his advance, it was announced today. The young colonel was wounded In the stomach by a shell fragment on the night of Oct. 30 after making the linkup with the TJ.'S. troops_south cf Sunchon. He died in a field hospital last night, For his · victorious action-which "materially contributed to the prosecution of the campaign" in: Korea, Green wasL, awarded the U. S. silver star medal.
