6-A (fi;Uin-9io» Kcius Monday Morning, September 25, 1978 Bulletin Board of Galveston Area Heiss Foots The Heiss Foots Square Dance Club will have an open house at 8 p.m. Friday in the Nessler Civic Center in Texas City for persons interested in learning to square dance. The club, sponsored by the Texas City parks and recreation department, will sponsor a series of 20 lessons beginning Oct. 6 and continuing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday nights. J. C. Flowers will serve as caller. The fee is $20 for the series. For information one may call 945-2936. Aerie 48 The Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 48 will meet at 7:30 pm today in the aerie home. Business will include an initiation and plans for the County Fair. Officers will meet at 8 p.m. Divorce Seminar The last of a three-part seminar on divorce will be presented from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Galveston school administration building. The program is sponsored by the Family Service Center of Galveston County with the cooperation of the Galveston County Bar Association. It is free of charge and open to the public. Omega Beta Omega Beta Chapter 6278 of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will celebrate its 15th birthday at the 7 p.m. meeting today in the Crystal Beach Fire Department meeting room. Jessie Davis will give the program "Learning to Learn." Rita Parker will be hostess. Al-Anon The West Isle Group of Al-Anon will meet at 8 p.m. today, Wednesday and Friday in the First Presbyterian Church, 1903 Church St. TOPS Two groups of TOPS (Take Off Weight Sensibly) have meetings scheduled for today. The Alta Loma Chapter 615 will begin weighing at 5:30 and meet at 7 p.m. today in the Guaranty Federal Building in the Santa FePlaza. The Galveston Chapter will meet at 6:15 p.m. today in the Menard Park Center. Junior Irving The Junior Irving Club will meet at 7:45 p.m. today in the home of Mrs. Tom Porter, 4328 Sherman. Dorothy Strachan will review "My Enemy the Queen" by Victoria Holt. Dickinson BPW The Dickinson Business and Professional Women's Club will have a wine and cheese party as part of its membership drive at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Citizen's State Bank community room. Katrina Packard, a member of the Harris County Women's Task Force, will speak on "Women's Role in Society." All area women are welcome, according to VelnaTroxlar, president. CAC Board The board of directors of the Galveston County Community Action Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Commissioners Court Room of the Galveston County Courthouse. Pilot Club The Pilot Club of Galveston will meet at 6:15 p.m. today in Wortham Auditorium of Rosenberg Library. Susan Oster, extension home economist for Galveston County, will present the slide program "How To Adapt and Reorganize Your Home as You Grow Older." The Green Machine, the Lassie League Team sponsored by the club, will be honored al the meeting. Women's Aglow The Women's Aglow Bible Study Group will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the home of Sheryl Mandina, 3601 Yale. The study "Tabernacle" will continue with the hostess as leader. Newcomers The Newcomers Club will be entertained with a membership coffee from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the home of Mrs. Erwin D. Cooper, president. Club activities include bridge, sewing, bowling, tennis and gourmet cooking. Fellowship Club The Bay Area Fellowship Club will meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the League City Recreation Center for bridge, canasta, 42, crafts and fellowship. The Prop Corps will serve refreshments and do routines from their summer camp at the University of Houston. Dr. and Mrs. Chester Burns will outline plans for the light bulb sale, the group's first fundraising event of the year.
