McGee HI. 2, Box 110 West Fork, Ark. 2 pkg. fine egg noodles (8 oz. size) 2 to 3 Ibs. ground beef 2 large onions, chopped 1 large or 2 small cans mushroom pieces "i cup Crisco 1 cup chopped ripe olives A Ib. sharp cheese, grated Worcestershire Sauce Catsup Salt, pepper Make very thin white sauce: 3 cups milk 2 Ibsp. flour '.4 cup butter (or margarine) Brown onion slightly in Cris- ro -- large iron skillet is best for this. Drain mushrooms, add to onions and saute. Remove from skillet and brown meat in same fat. Season with salt and pepper. Add U cup to 1 cup Worcestershire Sauce and 1 to 2 cups catsup, to taste. Meanwhile, boil noodles about 5 minutes or until done. Drain, and add to meat, also adding onions, mushrooms a n d r i p e oiives. Make white sauce while meat is browning and noodles cooking. Combine with meat m i x t u r e , put in large casserole or baking dish. Spread grated cheese on top. Bake for 1 hour in a medium oxen CioO degrees). Comfort SUNDAY DINNER CHICKEN Mrs. John Douglas 329 Crestvicw Bentonville, Ark. 6 slices bacon, uncooked 1 cup rice, uncooked 1 tsp. rosemary, crushed 1 tsp. marjoram, powdered 1 cut-up frying chicken, OR 2 Ibs. chicken breasts salt paprika 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 soup can of water 1 chicken bouillon cube (optional) Parsley flakes Line flat, 2 quart pyrex bnk- ing dish with bacon. Cover w i t h rice and sprinkle with rosemary and marjoram. Sprinkle chick- en with salt, pepper, and paprika, and place on top of rice. Spread soup over chicken. Dissolve bouillon cube in water and pour over soup. Sprinkle with parsley flakes. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 2 h o u r s without uncovering. Serves four. BURGER BUNDLES Mrs. Wesley K. Gee 1215 Eastwood Avenue Fayctteville, Ark. 1 cup Pepperidge Farm dressing i Ib. ground beef Vx cup evaporated milk 1 can cream of mushroom soup 2 tsp. Worcestershire 1 tbsp. catsup ',4 cup chopped celery ',1 cup chopped onion Saute' celery and onion in small amount of oil. Mix dressing according to package directions and add to vegetables. Mix ground beef with m i l k and flatten to 5 or 6 inch patties on a piece of waxed paper. Spoon Vt cup of dressing on each pattie. Draw edges of pat- tic over stuffing and seal into a ball. Place in casserole. Combine mushroom soup, Worches- tershire sauce and catsup a n d heat to bubbling. Pour o v e r meat -- bake uncovered. Garnish with parsley or add a can of green beans before baking and serve as a one dish meal. Bake 350 degrees, 45-50 minutes. Makes 5 or 6 patties. BROCCOLI-RICE CASSEROLB Mrs. Haskell Jackson 4102 South Turner Street Springdale, Ark. 1 package chopped broccoli 1 medium onion (chopped); dash garlic powder % cup evaporated milk 1 can cream of chicken soup % Ib. Velveta cheese (grated) 1 cup instant rice Cook broccoli according to directions on package. Drain and set aside. Saute' onion in small amount of butter.
