Salads Or Dressings Winning Recipai MKT PUCf WINNEI PINEAPPLE LUNCHEON SALAD Mrs. L»yce Hathcock M9 Itcfl Avenue Fayetteville, Ark 1 package lemon Jetlo 1 package lime Jello 2 cups boiling water IVi cups cottage chees 1 No. X can crushed pineapple (drained) H cup pecan meats 1 cop Eagle Brand milk 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1 cap mayonnaise 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish Dissolve Jello in the boiling water. When partially set. add remaining ingredients, mixing thorooghly. Allow to congeal in refrigerator several h o u r s . Serve on lettuce and garnish with a cherry. No dressing necessary. CABBAGE SALAD Vivian Welch Route 1 Lincoln. Ark. 4 cups cabbage 1 large onion % cup sugar Dressing Vi cup vinegar 1 tsp. celery seed Vt tsp. salt '/! cup Crisco oil 1 tsp. sugar Shred caggage. Slice onion very thin. Put onion rings on top of cabbage in large bowl. Sprinkle with % cup sugar. Let stand until dressing is ready. Bring to a rolling boil vinegar, celery seed. salt. Disslve the gelatin m hot witer and let stand until cool, add pineapple. Blend cheese with mayonnaise untfl »»»"! and add to gelatin mixture. Manker Route 2 Fayetteville Ark. 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin % cup cold water 1 cup mayonnaise /i cup light cream 1 tbsp. sugar % tsp. salt juice of one lemon 1 can salmon (1 Ib.) % cup chopped celery 2 tsp. minced onion Soak gelatin 5 min. in cold water Place container in hot water until gelatin is dissolved. C o m b i n e mayonnaise a n d cream and stir smooth. Add sugar, s a l t and lemon juice. Stir gelatin into mixture. Break salmon into small pieces and add to mayonnaise mixture. Also celery and onion. Pour into a ring mold. Chill until firm.
