THURSDAY, MARCH 1Q ; T U C S O N D A I L Y C I T I Z E N FAGf 4} Dr. James Robinson Forum Will See Film On Africa A lecture and film on "Operation Crossroads--Africa" will be presented by Dr. James H. Robinson at this week's Sunday Evening Forum. Robinson founded a student study and work camp program in 1957 in which 250 students work each summer on various projects throughout Africa. "The program was referred to as the "progenitor of the Peace Corps" by the late President Kennedy. Last January it was awarded the 1966 Institute of International Education citation for contributing to the mutual "assistance, understanding and brotherhood between Americans and Africans." The lecture, open to the public without charge, will be presented at 8 p.m. in the University of Arizona Auditorium. Donations will be accepted. Turner Back In Jail On New Count Maurice Eugene Turner, free until yesterday on ?15,000 bond while appealing a conviction for attempted murder, was back in Pima County Jail today on four charges of forgery. The 24-year-old service station attendant allegedly used an oil company credit card belonging to Wayne Holmes, 1440 E. Silver St., to purchase gasoline and auto accessories, detectives said. - Turner, who resides at 3726 E. Edison St., was convicted of attempted murder last May and sentenced to five to six years in prison for a gun battle with the caretaker of an East Side home. Turner was wounded in the head when the caretaker returned a volley of shots. In September, T u r n e r was placed on five years' probation after being convicted of attempting to burglarize a service station. He was arrested yesterday at his home on a Justice Court warrant. Detectives said several gas station attendants identified Turner .from photographs as the man who forged Holmes' name to credit slips. Officers Elected By Indian Assn. David F. Valenzuela, 733 Calle Garcia, has been elected president of the American Indian Association of Tucson. Other officers are Anthony S. Felix, vice president; Miss Sheila Rasmussen, secretary, and Miss Jeanette Palimo, treasurer. ' Members of the club's board of directors, include Mrs. Frances S. Manuel, Mrs. Anna M.
