'Ttie. series is entitled "What You Should Know About Securities." · . ' . . " . -. Cosponsoring it are the Securities Club of Tucson and the public library. Open to the public wiffiout charge, the lecture series^ is scheduled to begin Wednesday and continue oh coii- secutive Wednesday nights from 7:30 ito 8:30 at-the Central Library. To register for the lecture series,:a person may go to the reference'''section of the dpym town library at 200 S. 6th Ave or call the reference section. Outstanding Educator Michael A. James, a sixth grade teacher at Davidson Elementary School, has been n a m e d 1 9 6 8 "outstanding ! young educator" for Tucson by the Pima Jaycees. James : will be presented afi award at a Jaycee meeting scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday at 5307 E. Speedway Blvd. The more than 30 teachers, also nominated for the honor, will be recognized a t t h e meeting which is open to the public. Seminar To Diseuss Trash Plan The increasing magnitude of the problem of solid waste disposal, called the nation's third pollution afte$ water and ah-, will be the topic of an all-day semiiar /tomorrow at Student Union on the "University of Arizona campus. Professor Quentin M. Mees of the UA's Department of Civil Engineering and chairman of the seminar planning committee, said the city's trash collection system will be discussed. He termed "an innovation" Tucson's method of using small trailers that are periodically emptied into larger trucks along their route. He said several oth er cities have expressed interest in the method. Seminar speakers will cover the problem of sanitary land* fills, heavy-duty incineration and composting, or mixing. More than'100 persons.are expected to attend. Court To Decide Water-Firm Fight The U.S. District,Court here is being asked io settle an own ership dispute over the Coronado 'Foothills Estates water system. A suit filed by Section Three Corp. asks the court to declare the Illinois firm sole owner o: the .water system and to stop other parties from claiming any rights. Defendants -in the suit are Subdivision Processors Inc. Far Western Contractors, Don aid W. Depughi and Don Depugl Realty Inc.. ' . ' The suit claims tnat Section Three purchased the water sys tern from a Tucson Title Insur ance Co. trust on Feb. 2.
