Three Aerospace Chiefs Named to Aid Paisley ; The Citizens Committee to elect Democrat Clyde A. Paisley in the 44th Assembly District announced Sunday the appointment of three aerospace officials to head its industrial relations division. They are Hughes Aircraft executive Robert Schurr, Donald Gore of North American Aviation and Gene Cook of Douglas Aircraft. Said Schurr, spokesman for the group: "Based on his engineering experience and over-all contributions to industry in Southern California, C l y d e Paisley has gained a keen understanding of the problems facing large and small businesses. "This will be of great benefit to him in conscientiously serving th citizens of our district (West Long Beach- Lakewood-Dominguez) in the State Legislature. Therefore 1 am delighted to endorse Clyde Paisley as the best choice to ucceed Assemblyman Joseph M. Kennick." Deputies said Diaz consumed the battery acid in an apparent attempt at suicide. His wife called officers, but Diaz reportedly ordered the deputies to leave his house, claiming, "It's not illegal to commit suicide," according to a sheriff's department spokesman. Deputies said they checked their state code books and could find the man committing no violation. His wife finally was able to talk him into seeking medical attention, deputies said.
