MONO AY, MAY 15, 1967 T U C S O N D A I L Y C I T I Z E N Jingles' Bite Prettier Than Her Bark LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) Why Jingles, what big, gold teeth you have! ;[They're real. And Jinglcc, a Wack-and-brown mongrel, is Something of a celebrity In canine circles because of the gold crowns oh her teeth. ;;They were applied by Dr, Gerald Marx, who adopted the riiongrel after finding her wandering around a shopping center near his office. At the time, Jingles had very little hair, was morbidly drowsy and was running a temperature of 103 degrees. Massive antibiotic injections quelled the infection but in the months that followed, It became apparent that the enamel on two of Jingles' teeth was deteriorating. Marx decided to apply the gold crowns, using much the game technique that he does for tumans. "Now, after 10 months, the crowns still are serving the dog well," Marx reported. He checks the teetii every other week and expects them to last indefinitely.
