Surgery on j^luiikett goes Anna Hunt and Hope Wil- Hanis are the new leaders in this week's Tucson fiaily Citizen Bowling Top Ten. Mrs. Hunt rolled a 279 in the Wigland Singles League at Cactus Bowl to become the Class A game leader. Earlier this season she set a city record with a 949 four-game series, while recording the second best three-game set at 735., : . : Mrs. Hunt also bowls for D anny's Discount Carpets in the Tucson Daily Citizen Clas- sic Bowling League, Currently, Danny's is the Class A team leader in the Tucson City Women's Bowling Tournament. / Hope Williams rolled a 632 series last week to take over first-place in Class B by 16 pins. Bowling in the Cactus Scratch Trio League, she also qualified for honors with her 245 game, third best among Class B bowlers this year. Roger Aulds, a class C bowler, became eligble for the Top Ten in two areas this week. He shot a 277 in the Monday Nite League at Cactus Bowl, good enough for second place. Auld went on to roll a 652 series which earned him a second spot. POCKET HITS -- .Some of Tucson's elderly bowlers were active last week, recording several noteworthy scores. Ed La Roche, president of the Senior Citizen's League rolled a 543 series. Don Bray ton had a 204 game while Stephanie Muzyk fired a 222. Most members of the league are over 60 years of age.
