Missing 8-Year-OM Girl Found, Man Is Jailed LOS ANGELES (CNS) -The night-long search for.an 8-year-old Los Angeles girl ended Friday when police found her with a 23-year-old man in his small rented home. Tiena Lynn Self was taken to General Receiving Hospital, where doctors said she had been molested. She was released to the custody of her mother, Ruth, and step-father Albert Myers. Booked on suspicion of child-molesting was H a r o l d Conklin. He had no local arrest record. Police were summoned Friday morning by Miilard Grif fiths, who said he rented the small home at the rear of his property to Conklin. G r i f f i t h s said. Conklin had never had a child with him be- fore and he became suspicious when he saw a little girl there Friday morning. Tiena was reported missing when she failed to return home Thursday. The girl left an eiumeniary school at 3 p.m. but never completed five-block walk to her home, her mother said. The' youngster told police Conklin met her in the pcdes- rian tunnel under Olympic Boulevard and enticed her to lis home, keeping her there all night.
