B12 si mu si so IOS N.I I IIMIS Police Nab Suspect in Car, Foot Chase CHESS I3y JACK PETERS INTERNATIONAL MASTER The driver took a "cirruiious" route through the Emerald Hills area, said Peck, before smashing into a car in the 1400 block of Kclton Road. Neither Williams nor the driver of the car he hit were injured, said Peck, but Williams got out of his car and ran. Police caught Williams after a four-block foot chase. Police recovered a loaded .32 caliber handgun that Peck allegedly threw out of his car window during the chase. A Friday afternoon car chase ended with the arrest of a man near Emerald Hills Park.

Lawrence Williams, 19. was charged with resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, evading a police officer and a weapons violation, said Sgt. Chuck Peck of the San Diego Police. The chase started at 5:04 p.m. Friday when police tried to stop Williams' car for a routine traffic violation, but Williams ignored po-lice lights and sirens, said Peck.
