FAYETTEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL A CAPELLA CHOIR The 80-mcmber A Cappella C h o i r of Fayetteville High School was selected as the honor choir at the recent Arkansas Choral festival in Hot Springs, the top award made at the state annual event. The out-oF-state judges rated the band superior and commented: , "This choir has tremendous musical maturity. Any Criticism would be nit-picking. Its greatest asset is artistry, feeling of ensemble and vitality." "A marvelous job. Beautiful blend and exciting. Beautiful diction." "This is really a most outstanding job. .true musical experience, intonation was impeccable. This has to be the finest high school choir I have ever heard." Judges were Gerhard P. Roth, consultant in music Racine Unified School District, Racine. Wis.: Curtis Hansen, editor snd general manager of Schmitt Hall and McCreary, Co., music publishers and Dallas Draper, director jf choral music, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, La.
