Harvard (71, 3-0 in league play) scored first, with Aguolu racing 77 yards on the first play of the second quarter.

Aguolu scored again on a 10-yard dash with five minutes loft in the half. ROB SONNER HMWrttlW CONFERENCE Verdugo Hills 21, Hollywood 13 Senior Tim Fagan caught two touchdown passes and intercepted two fourth-quarter passes to lead the. Dons to their first win of the season, Hollywood (3-4, 0-4) outgaincd Verdugo Hills in total offense, 193 yards to 151. Most of the Sheik attack was generated by quarterback Jesse Elkins, who completed four of 10 for 45 yards and a touchdown and ran for 65 yards In 12 carries. Verdugo Hills (1-6) tied the score in the third quarter when quarterback Noel Alvarado looped a nine-yard pass to Fagan.

Robert Servcllon's extra point put the Dons ahead for good. For the game, Alvarado completed seven of 15 for 79 yards and two touchdowns. The Dons allowed only 24 yards in the second half. Genevieve 13 The Guards won their first game of the season in a sloppy afternoon game at Burroughs High despite committing four turnovers on their first five possessions. Bell-Jeff (1-7, 1-1) scored on the opening klckoff. The Valiants' Tom Nickels shanked the kick, pushing the ball only a few yards downfield. Bell-Jeff's Richard Samkow scooped it up and ran 45 yards untouched for the score. The Guards were successful on an ensuing onsidc kick, but Nestor Villanea fumbled on their first play.

Three plays later, St. Genevieve quarterback Bobby Kite threw an interception one of his three but Villanea fumbled again. The teams combined for 10 turnovers, including five in the first quarter. Kite, who doubles as a Valiant defensive back, returned a second-quarter interception 35 yards for a touchdown and a 13-7 St. Genevieve lead.

Bell-Jeff quarterback Anthony Pawluc connected with Alfred Silva on a six-yard scoring strike with 1:32 left in the third quarter for the winning points. CHRIS J. PARKER ALPHA LEAGUE Montclalr Prep' 42, L.A. Baptlet 0 Taking advantage of eight L.A. Baptist turnovers, Montclair Prep routed the Knights (0-8, 0-3) in an Alpha League game at Monroe High.

The Mountics (5-3, 3-0) were led by Eliel Swinton, who had touchdown runs of 46, 49 and 26 yards. Swinton finished with 238 yards in 18 carries. Greg Cole's two interceptions and two fumble recoveries one for a touchdown helped preserve the shutout.
