To 'Parents: "The need of the hour," says Roger Babson, "is not more factories or materials, not more railroads or steamships, not more armies or more navies—but rather, more education based on the teachings of Jesus." Are your children getting such education? Take them to Sunday School Visitors: Says G. K. Chesterton: "Christianity has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult and not tried." Christianity means a fight by man for his better impulses. The Churches of this city call you to high ideals. Determine now to go to Church tomorrow. The Second Mile WIDELY -KNOWN PREACHER tells this story of his boyhood: One day his mother told him he must pick a ,.„ ____ quart of raspberries for supper. This did not suit his plans. Besides! the sun was stinging hot and the bushes full of briars. Can't you see him, swinging the pail petulantly and digging his toes into the dirt? But obedience was required. A sudden thought came to him: "Why not surprise Mother with TWO quarts!" He perked up, began to whistle and sing, and went at the job with a vim. Unwelcome tasks, in the Church or elsewhere, can be turned into genuine pleasure by tackling them in an ungrudging spirit. It is in the zone of the "second mile" that the real joy of life is found.
