FT,YNN. NEW YORK, Nov. 6.—The oil Industry begins to thtnlc It Is moving toward better days. It believes that It Is approaching: sounder conditions on Its two most troublesome battle fronts—In the producing fields And at the retail outlets. The movement for some sort of international agreement is .said to be on the way, which may mean much for conservation. The elimination of many abuses In retail- Ing is looked for in the general flocking of refiners and jobbers to sign the code of practice. .Toward remedying domestic overproduction much is looked for in the restriction of crude oil output in several places. In Oklahoma proration is In force to hold crude oil production to 660,000 barrels dally until the chd of this year. In Texas the railroad commission Is guiding the industry toward the source of trouble. There, however, lending producers have cut prices to a point below profitable operation. In the refining Industry, however, earnings have been running well above 11928, and when this year Is done the Industry will doubtless record its greatest volume profits. But Investors looking for the bent companies will settle on the completely Integrated ones. Those companies which drill their own oil, have their own pipe lines, refine their own product and control their own retail products are the ones that will reveal the bulk of the earnings this year. This CHAFING ^* Even in most aggravated case*, comfort follows the healing touch of Resinol Integration must not be considered 48 complete and successful unless the companies own or control their own retail outlets. The trend this year has been a scramble to buy up Independent Jobbers who have bulk-filling stations and chains of service station's. CHILDREN TAKE IT COD-LIVER.
