The bride^elect Is the daughter of Mrs. John W. Archer, 2930 E. Adams St., and the late Mr. Archer. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Evan Rudd of Hillsborough, .Calif. Frances iNan is a senior at the University of Arizona where she is enrolled in the College of Education. Her sorority is Gamma Phi Beta. Her fiance is an alumnus of UA where he majored in management and finance. He served as president of his fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha. Mr, Rudd is employed as secretary- treasurer for Rudd Buick Co. in Burlingame, Calif. The couple's engagement was announced at a traditional candle-passing ceremony at the Gamma Phi Beta sorority house.
