Colorado St. Rose Cabal's Work Shown InMagazine iTucson craftsman Rose Cabat has two pieces of her work re- pfoduced in color in the Feb. 27 issue of the Los Angelas Times' Home Magazine. Shown were a small clay bottle with colors of tbe-sky and sea in its glaze and as 2-inch yellow glazed "feelie." 'They ' were selected from Of aftsman USA 66, an exhibition of national importance currently being held at the Los Angeles County Museum of-Art. Of IjSOO entries, only 280 were accepted for the show. These represented the work of 200 artists. Pieces were limited to three from each craftsman and-Mrs. Cabat was one of 14 who had all three entries accepted for ekhibition. Mrs. Cabat also is represented in the current Walnut Creek (Calif.) Civic Art Association crafts show, where she received an honorable mention for a blue- green crystal bottle. Four of her Works were selected by Paul Smith, director of. the Museum of Contemporary Arts, for exhibit in the upcoming crafts show at the Tucson Aft Center. Only four Tucson craftsmen will be represented in the Tucson exhibition. ,in Saturday's patio tour to benefit the Smith College Scholarship fund, Mrs. Cabat will dethonstrate her work in the paao of the Jack Moore home in Skyline Country Club Estates. Bilingual Council To Meet Here '"Help for Juan and His Teacher" is the title of the second annual conference of the Arizona Bilingual Council, to be held from 4p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Safford Junior High School. Teachers working in bilingual education will be given information on new instructional programs for bilingual students. Head Start and other preschool programs, child day care training, adult basic education, education of bilingual secretaries, special speech work, neighborhood, councils, special reading, experin«mtal first grade and junior high language arts are among the topics announced by Paul Streiff, program chairman, and Ins Mu · vaney, president of the council.
