42060. Retired Army Sgt. David Heinly dies By Lou Simpson FLORIDA TODAY MELBOURNE Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class, David Amos Heinly, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, at home.

Heinly, 76, was born in Philadelphia. He was an art school graduate and a former commercial artist at Valley Forge Flag in Pottstown, Pa. A veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars, he was the recipient of numerous awards and commendations. During his military career, he worked for the intelligence agency at the American Embassy in Thailand and also as a chaplain's assistant. He came to Brevard County in 1968 from Fort Hamilton, N.Y.

No calling hours are scheduled. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. OTA BOYLES VERO BEACH Ota I. "Blondie" Boyles, 76, died Friday, Aug. 11, at home. Mrs. Boyles came to Indian River County in 1948 from Concord, N.H., where she was born.

Mr. Carruthers was born in Scotland. He came to Brevard County in 1967 from Long Lake, Mich. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and 1 the former owner of House of Frames. Carruthers was a member of Masonic Lodge AM in Michigan.

He was an Army veteran and also played guitar and sang locally. Survivors include his mother, Betty Martin of Malabar; father, Malcolm Moore Sr. of Nashville, sisters, Carol Adams of Satellite Beach and Jackie Speir of Melbourne; and grandmother, Edna Moore of Nashville, Ga. Calling hours are 3 to 5 p.m. today, with services following, at South Brevard Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Burial will be in Florida Memorial Gardens, south of Rockledge. Mr. Huyck was born in Sidney, N.Y. He came to Brevard County in 1984 from Santa Maria, where he had lived for 24 years. He was a former high school professor of music and English in New York and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

He was a member of American Legion Post 163 and exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 1744, both in Melbourne. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Huyck of Melbourne; daughter, Renee Huyck of Melbourne; sons, Regan Huyck of Crescent City, and Barney Huyck of Hanford, five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
