Miaa Martha Klingbeol, who has been employed here the Jaat few months returned to her home at Bemidji Thursday. Mrs. Nicholas Truog was operated on for gall stones, at the hospital at Long Prairie last Sunday. Her many friends will be glad to learn that she is getting along as good as could be expected. Miss Anna Cofield, who has spent the winter here at the home of her brother, J.

W. Cofield, and the Vincent home, left Tuesday for Britton, S. where she will work the coming summer. Busby -Katzenberger, who own one of the saloons here, have purchased the saloon at Bandall. Mr.

Busby left Tuesday to take charge and Mr. Katzenberger left Friday to help with making arrangements, returning Saturday. Mr. Katzenberger will remain in charge of the saloon at this place. C.

L. Buelow, who was called away several weeks ago, by the serious illness of his brother, Albert Buelow, of Reedsburg, returned home last Tuesday. While on his way home he stopped in St. Paul, at the home of his son, Jessie. Mr.

Buelow's brother died March 16, at his home and was buried the 19th. He was 86 years of age. Many at this place were well acquainted with Mr. Buelow as he had been here several times visiting relaties and has owned a large amount of real estate in this vicinity. His many friends are very sorry to hear of his death.

The Congregational Sunday school has elected Mrs. John Pennie and Mrs. E. A. Flood as delegates to the state Sunday School convention at Austin the latter part of April.

Mrs. John Stroman left last week for a visit with her friend, Mrs. Wm. Burns, at Fargo, N. D.

About fifty friends of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hall gave them a party at their home last Saturday night. Cards and games were played and many April jokes were played in the refreshments. All who attended reports a good time.

Mrs. Grey is reported very ill and her granddaughter, Cleda Aleshire, is taking care of her. Edgar Riley of Remer arrived last Saturday for a visit at the Geo. Chambers home. The program given last Friday night by the people who signed up for the Lyceum course, was well taken and was certainly worth the admission paid'.

The farce "Business is Business," was fine. Miss Doyle did her part very well and R. N. Rhines acted the part of a lovesick young man and baseball fan to perfection. E.

L. Kaliher, who took the part of a Jew, was especially good. The farce "April Fools," was well played by all the characters and they are to be congratulated.
