'I was in New York recently and I looked up some wholesalers I know--I haven't worked for Benny for 24 years without learning some tricks. I went through the racks of girls' dresses and said 'I'll take this and this and this.' That's tile way we shop." Dennis was one of six children, who have now produced 31 of tlieir own--sister-in-law Ann Blyth has five. "I think large families are closer," said Dennis, an obvious advocate. The project will be built with federal funds, under Public Law 815, which provides that schools in "impacted areas," where there are overcrowded conditions d u e to government projects, may receive federal aid. Bids were'to be received May 8 on Hie 7,000 square foot, six- class-room addition, but only one contractor submitted an estimate. The board rejected the $87,0« bid of Tune Construction Company Of Fayettavllle. The Rogers school district Qualifies for federal aid because of the construction at Beaver Dam and Pea Ridge National Military Park. Bids will be opened at 2 p.m. in S c h o o l Superintendent Greer Lingje's office. New Vote Sought On Urban Renewal FORT SMITH, Ark. AP) -leaders of a group seeking a second ballot on a J2.6 million dollar urban renewal project at Fort Smith say they hope to present a petition for a referendum to the city eouncH Monday. The issufe w a s defeated in an April 2 election, but proponents claimed voters were confused by the wording on the ballot. A vote "for" meant a Vote against the issue in the first election. David Censemen, a pro-renewal leader, said Thursday he had been informed that July 1 was the deadline for earmarking by the federal government Of any funds for such a project, but If an election on the issue was called by that time, money for the projecl would be reserved. SPRINGDALE S p e c i a 1) -Two men have been promoted to key positions in the Tyson Poods, Inc., organization. Executive vice president, Don Tyson announced today t h a i James Irwin, 35, had been named general manager of t h e Garrett Poultry Co., a subsidiary of Tyson F o o d s , and that H i r o n ("Poke") Knight, 36, had b e e n promoted to personnel manager of the firm. Irwin is a native of Fayetteville and was reared at nearby Clyde. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Arkansas. Knight is a native of Ooy (Lonoke County). He, too, earned his bachelor's degree at the U. A. Irwin Is a former vocational agriculture teacher at Lincoln and P r a i r i e Grove High Schools. Knight is a former county agent, stationed at Berryvalle. Mikoyan Recovers MOSCOW (AP)--First Deputy Premier Anastas Mikoyan Is reported by his brother to be nearly recovered from a'recent illness and almost ready to return to work. The brother, aircraft designer Arton Mikoyan, told correspondents at a reception Thursday night that a cold Mikoyan caught while welcoming Fidel Castro in snowy Murmansk April 27 developed into kidney trouble and sent him to a hospital. "It's our lives we're seeing," explained Mrs. Kampen. "They've changed the specific incidents, but the characters are recognizable and so are the situations." Mrs. Kampen, a novelist and short story writer, Is the author of a funny nonfiction book, "Life Without George," published two years ago. Now it is the basis of "The Lucy Show." Desi Amaz had been looking for a suitable vehicle for Lucille Ball for three years before he ran across the book in which Mrs. Kampen described her experiences as a divorcee. For television, of course, many changes had to be made. Brunette Irene Kampen, divorcee, became red-haired Lucy OarmlohaeJ, widow. Lucy was given another child, a son, Jerry. Mrs. Kampen's fellow divorcee who--with son Eric --shared the Kampen home and adventures is named Evelyn. She became Vivian Bagley -- played by Vivian Vance -- whose son is named Sherman. Mrs. Kampen is a former newspaper reporter who fwrote the book - her first - to indicate that all divorcees ere not sleek ophisticated dames interested in tlver women's liusbands. TV Slailon Plans Appeal To FCC ROCK (AP) -- Robert Doubtafcy, general manager of television station KATV, s a i d Thursday the station will appeal a Federal Communications Commission examiner's recommendation that KATV not be permitted to move its transmitter. Doubieday said t h e appeal would be filed with the PCC with- n 30 days. He would not comment on the denial nor on the examiner's comments about scnc at he station's policies. He said KATV would have its say before tite PCO. KATV is seeking to move its Transmitter from J e f f e r s o n Springs, 15 miles norttiwest of Pine Bluff to a site 12 miles southwest of Little Rock. The examiner's ruling w*s a disappointment to the state Educational Television Commission to which KATV had promfeed to donate its antenna at Jefferson Springs and 80 acres of property if *e transfer request wac approved. Commission Chairman T. E.
