The project will be built with federal funds, under Public Law 815, which provides that schools in "impacted areas," where there are overcrowded conditions to government projects, may receive federal aid.

Bids were'to be received May 8 on Hie 7,000 square foot, six- class-room addition, but only one contractor submitted an estimate. The board rejected the bid of Tune Construction Company Of Fayettavllle. The Rogers school district Qualifies for federal aid because of the construction at Beaver Dam and Pea Ridge National Military Park. Bids will be opened at 2 p.m. in Superintendent Greer Lingje's office.

New Vote Sought On Urban Renewal FORT SMITH, Ark. AP) -leaders of a group seeking a second ballot on a J2.6 million dollar urban renewal project at Fort Smith say they hope to present a petition for a referendum to the city eouncH Monday. The issufe a defeated in an April 2 election, but proponents claimed voters were confused by the wording on the ballot. A vote "for" meant a Vote against the issue in the first election. David Censemen, a pro-renewal leader, said Thursday he had been informed that July 1 was the deadline for earmarking by the federal government Of any funds for such a project, but If an election on the issue was called by that time, money for the projecl would be reserved.

Executive vice president, Don Tyson announced today a i James Irwin, 35, had been named general manager of Garrett Poultry a subsidiary of Tyson and that i Knight, 36, had promoted to personnel manager of the firm. Irwin is a native of Fayetteville and was reared at nearby Clyde. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Arkansas. Knight is a native of Ooy (Lonoke County).

Mikoyan Recovers MOSCOW (AP)--First Deputy Premier Anastas Mikoyan Is reported by his brother to be nearly recovered from a'recent illness and almost ready to return to work.

The brother, aircraft designer Arton Mikoyan, told correspondents at a reception Thursday night that a cold Mikoyan caught while welcoming Fidel Castro in snowy Murmansk April 27 developed into kidney trouble and sent him to a hospital. Doubieday said appeal would be filed with the PCC with- 30 days. He would not comment on the denial nor on the examiner's comments about scnc at he station's policies. The examiner's ruling a disappointment to the state Educational Television Commission to which KATV had promfeed to donate its antenna at Jefferson Springs and 80 acres of property if transfer request wac approved. Commission Chairman T. E. Tyler of Little RoCk Said Wednesday that the denial would set back the state's educational television program and would mean that the commission can no longer plan to go on the air with two transmitters, one at Jefferson Springs and one at Fayettevillo.
