Material covered ranges from Thomas' tenure with The Elvin Bishop Band and The Starship, as well as songs from his two solo albums. Mickey will also lend his trademark vocal style to some classic and Soul standards. Thomas will be backed by Starship, a stellar group of musicians including: Bill Slais, Elvin Bishop Band; Jeff Tamalaire, Cold Blood; T. Moran, Cold Blood; Bobby Vega, Etta James; John Sanders, Uncle Rainbow; and Max Haskett, Cold Blood.

Mickey Thomas' Starship! Mickey Thomas, the owner of the soaring voice that propelled The Starship through the decade of the 80s is now entering the 90s as a solo artist. With his choir boy good looks and soulful compelling voice, Thomas has established himself as one of contemporary music's most recognizable stars. Mickey Thomas made his mark singing the hit single "Fooled Around and Fell in Love," by the Elvin Bishop Band.

In 1979, his notoriety outgrew the confines of Elvin Bishop, and he left to join The Starship as their lead vocalist. Backed by the power of Thomas' vocals, The Starship immediately scored a No. One hit with "Jane." With Mickey as their new focal point, The Starship went on to record an amazing string of hits, including an incredible four No. One smashes "No Way "We Built this "Sarah" and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now." Other top hits included "Find Your Way Back," "Stranger," "Layin" It On The Line," and "It's Not Over Till It's Over," which became Major League Baseball's theme in 1987. Moreover, every Starship album released since 1979 has gone gold, platinum or multi-platinum.
