David T. Disney of Cincinnati, who met with the horrible accident of having his leg crushed and amputated here yesterday, got al ng well, reaction having in. But at 10 o'clock last night a second reaction set in, with an adverse effect. The attending Vhysician was present, and did everything possible. The patient continued to srrow worse till 1:00 this morning, when his spirit took its flight to the great beyond.

His wife came down at 10:20 I at night, accompanied by the Hon. Howard Douglass and others, who accompanied the remains home this morning. Mrs. Disney has the sincerest sympathy of the people of this city. I'rof.

Anderson and Two Young; Iatlles Drowned at Spencer While lionting. Spencer, June 2. Special. This evening while F. E.

Anderson and two young ladies, Misses Lillie and Clara Horuaday, were out on the river boating, the boat capsized and all three were drowned, l'rof. Anderson was the teacher of our high school. One of the ladies Mas the music teacher and the other school teacher. All were highly respected, and the town is shocked beyond description. The bodies have not been found yet, but an extensive search is being made for them.

A difficulty occurred in this county recently on the farm of Alton Ilolderjx'twcen Grant I'ushcrand Isham Anderson, which ha just come to light. Killed by tlte Cnm. IIocrrov, June 4. Special. Charles Miller of thi" place, aged eighteen, got on freight train on the IVnnsylvani.iroad, to steal ride to Plymouth, while it running at a high rate of speed. He fell a few mile-? west of here, seve ral cars over hiui in a hor rible manner.

Howard, aged fifty years, a resident of Ilrazil, but formerly of this place, committed suicide here this evening by shooting himself in a wood-shed at the residence of E. M. Roberts. He placed the revolver in his mouth and the ball bulged in the brain. Death was instantaneous.

Sickness is the supposed cause. He leaves a widow and four children. A Young Farmer tu Trouble. Plymouth, May 30. Special.

Charles Yagley, a young farmer living near Tyncr City, this county, was yesterday bound over to the circuit court to answer a very serious charge preferred against him by the parents of a young lady of that town named Moore. It seems that Yagley had been going with the girl fur some time, and on die iMthof this month took her out in a buggy a country meeting of some kind and returned very late at night. Paring their return home he made some very indecent proposals, which were most indignantly refused. He attempted to force her to comply with his desires and went so far us to do her considerable bodily harm. She jumped from the bugiry, and he followed her in Iiis miserable attempts, but finally promised if slut would again get into the bugry he would take her home in tafety.

She did this, but he renewing his work she linally, by a subterfuge, got him get out of the and, lashing the team, drove off and left him in the road reflect on his outrageous conduct. The parents of the girl and the girl are all highly respected people, and the neighborhood is conisiueraiJy aroused over the afluir. Delphi's Sensation Mongers. He was supposed to have had a large amount of money and was never cell again. About a mile and a half northeast of this place was a vacant farm house, und in a few days, near this vacant house, fanners found the body of the drover's horse, tolled in a deep ditch in the woods, covered ith lo' und debris. Much was said at the time about the disappearance of the drover, but the facts remained clouded in mystery and ere gradually almost forgotten. Very recently the present owner of the farm, on hich was situated the vacant bouse mentioned, was making rn excavation on the place, wh he e.xhumed the bones of a man, and with them the spectacles and branding irons cf die long lost drover. Knough is known to make interesting work for an enthusiastic detective.

i Seymour, May 30. Special One of the addest scenes ever witnessed in this section took place yesterday. The remains of Mr. William Meitler, who was killed at Hiawatha, by lightning, were brought to the home of his brother, August, in the northwest part of this county for interment. The remains were viewed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends, among whom was Mrs.

Adolph Smith, who upon approaching the casket to take a last look upon one she had known from his infancy, with strange actions, she sank to the floor and expired without a murmur. She was a highly esteemed lady, nearly seventy years of age, and the tragic event has shrouded tho entire neighborhood in gloom. A Ills Knife's Fatal Work. EVANSMLLE, June 3. Special.

Early this morning Albert Priest, a respected colored citizen, found his ife standing in their yard with Osear laily (colored). When I'riest approached Daily struck htm. The former then drew a large knife, cutting his antagonist, the blade penetrating the left lung causing injuries which the physician says are fatal. I'riest was arrested. A Two Years' Sentence.

CON'XERSVILLE, June 1. Special. The jury in the case of tho state vs. Charles M. Johnson, for cutting with intent to kill George Beaver at Glenwood last winter, came in at midnight finding the defendent guilty and assessing his punishment at ten years hi the penitentiary and a fine of one cent.

Allen Wilkin of Elkhart, a young man guilty of a criminal assault on Maggie Lynch a short time ago, has been sentenced to two years in prison for the crime. George Mullen, of Terrc Haute, dropped dead from his wagon, Monday morning, of apoplexy. He was aged lifty-six years und leaves uu invalid wife. Tho clock market was again intensely dull to-day, and while in the first hour and hist half hour, was quite weak and somewhat feverish throughout the day. Only three stocks, however, made any pretentious to animation, Heading, Union Pacific and St.

Paul. There was very little movement in the last mentioned Ftock and it was traded in over a rang of only half per cent, for the entire day, while none of the active stocks showed a rano of more that. 1 per cent. Tho movements in tlie list were con lined to a very few ptockaimd these were principally anions the usual inactive stocks, Pullman, Chicago, P.urlington Quincy ami one or two others being most coti-rpieuous. Tlie, opening was at slight ad varices over Saturday's final figures and the market showed au improved tendonev during the first hour which carried somu of the list to the neighborhood of a point alve the opening, Union Pacific; and Missouri Pacific being conspicuous.

The feverishiiess then appeared nnd price sagged and Missouri Pacific developed considerable weakness, but it was not until the hist hour, when the lowest priccHof the day generally were made, that its decline reached anything like notable proportions. The dullness was intense throughout after 11 o'clock, the only relief to the stagnation In irig a drop of" I in Burlington, followed by a recovery of 1 percent, and an advance of 1 per cent in I lock Island, and one of 1 per cent in Pullman. The decline, however, was accelerated after delivery hour, but it was then checked, and prices rallied immediately, the close being dull but firm at something better than first prices. Almost ever thing is fractionally higher this evening, ami Pullman gained 1 Northern Pacific preferred 13 and Burlington Quincy 1 per cent, while St. lhiluth lost 1 ja cent.
