YORK, (INS) Living room colors are moving out onto the patio this summer, for hospitality's sake. Summer furniture manufacturers discovered that people kept dragging chairs out of the house whenever there was a large party in the backyard.

So now the outdoor furniture is being painted to match the indoors. For instance, wrought iron comes in "driftwood" gray beige or "dusty pink," or "twilight blue." Aluminum can be had in "green bronze," rattan is "peacock blue," and the plastic for summer chairs will turn up in such snooty tones as "carnation" and blue." Best Sellers Don't let this scare you into burning the old red and green summer furniture. While you can get just about any living room tint you like on the outdoor pieces this year, an. official of the National Association of Summer Furniture Manufacturers admits: "Our best-selling colors are still red, yellow and The MASFM secretary, Alfred J. Siesel, adds: "White remains ever-popular fcr outdoor furniture.

But living room colors definitely are taking over in the high-style. lines and the three. top colors in this type of furniture are turquoise, salmon pink and gold." Patio Decor The way to pick your outdoor furniture this year is to choose i it according to "patio decor." If you have a small backyard suitable napping only, the old familiar camp chair in a 1957 pink will do nicely. But if your home has one of those planned patio areas where meals will be served and TV turn- TIPTON (IND.) TRIBUNE 3 Tuesday, May 7, 1957 or Fashion Flash By OLGA CURTIS I.N.S. Women's Editor NEW YORK (INS)- After all these years of being told to "pull everything in." it's suddenly fashionable for giris to have a distinct rear profile.

Christian Dior started this with an uplift pantie girdle which does for your back view exactly what a bra does for your front view. Then Emilio Pucci of Italy rushed in with a batch of uplift designs for an American girdle company. Now a California company has added the clincher: An uplift pantie girdle that was their flop five years ago is suddenly in demand. This latest entry among backboosters is coyly called "Bottoms Up." It's the lightest of the uplift pantie girdles, with only a "wing" of nylon power net stitched in to provide upward support. It doesn't separate, as Dior does most definitely with a series of tucks, and it isn't as positively outlined as Pucci's thight-to-waist uplitt panels.

But hippy girls who think this fad for rear profiles means a natural look still are in for a disappointment; the profile is plumper than normal but still definitely controlled.
