Mrs. Ben White will be caller for next week. Mrs. Butch Wilson Feted With Shower A cradle shower honoring Mrs. Butch (Pat) Wilson was hosted Thursday evening Kitty Hatfield and Penny Wilson in the Citizens National Bank's Courtesy room.

Tables were decorated with pink and blue streamers and the traditional stork. Games were played and winners presented those gifts to Mrs. Wilson. Cake, cookies, and mints along with coffee and punch were served to Mrs. Jerri Faubion, Mrs.

L. Hatfield, and Connie, Chris, Marcie and Terry, Mrs. Carol McVieghn, CROP Is Topic at Rotary Meeting The Rev. Joseph Trower of Jefferson City, regional director for. the state of Missouri for CROP (Christian Rural Overseas Program) was the speaker at Friday's meeting of the Rotary club.

Mr. Trower said that 20 million people in 80 countries have had a "helping hand" through the efforts of CROP during the 25 years the program has been in effect. He described the three major areas of concern in the program: (1) Emergency programs whereby people are aided in times of disaster anywhere in the world; (1) Ongoing programs which provide necessities for many children's institutions (orphanages) and for senior citizens; (3) Development programs by which communities are assisted in development of helath centers, new roads, and people are "given a chance for a change." "I believe in CROP because it gets is not distributed by governments but rather by Christian missionaries," the speaker said. "I also believe in it because of the concern, it expresses for Mr. Trower was introduced by Merle Doughty, Livingston County CROP chairman, who explained to Rotarians the upcoming CROP campaign here.

Doughty was introduced by Gary Dickinson, co-chairman of programs for August Mrs. Charles Hughes, Broadway, and Mr. Steven Wayne Wedlock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wedlock, 1310 Webster.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Eldon Smith, uncle of the bride, of Leon, la. As the guests arrived they were ushered to their seats by Mr. David Hughes, brother of the bride, and Mr. Mark Wedlock, brother of the bridegroom, both of Chillicothe.

Organist, Mrs. Bill Smith, played wedding selections while the guests were being seated, and also accompanied Miss Kathy Sears who sang "Twelfth of Never." Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a floor- length gown with an under dress of satin with a scooped neckline and an over dress of chantilly lace, featuring an empire waistline and softly gathered skirt, high stand up collar and long lace sleeves, accented with wide cuffs and tiny pearl buttons. The elbow length bridal illusion veil was held by a crown of lace over bridal satin. The wedding gown and veil was styled by the bride's mother. The bride's bouquet consisted of white carnations and tinted pink baby's breath, with white satin ribbon streamers.

Her jewelry consisted of a necklace, a gift from the bridegroom. A street length dress of soft pink crepe was worn by the matron of honor, Mrs. Floyd Hutcherson, Chillicothe, sister of the bride. Her A-line dress featured long puffed sleeves and stand up collar. She carried a long stem white carnation.

Her dress was also styled by the brides mother. Serving as best man was Mr. Bill Wade of Chillicothe. Mrs. David Hughes, sister-in- law of the bride; was at the guest book.

Receiving the gifts were Miss Debbie Locke, Hale, and Miss Miss Janice Ross, and Mrs. Francis Avalon, assisted with the reception. The bridal table was covered with a lace table cloth and centered with pink candles. The three-tiered wedding cake featured pink roses and was topped with a bride and bridegroom. Pink punch nuts, and mints were also served.

For her daughters wedding, Mrs. Hughes chose a powdered blue double knit dress with white accessories. She wore a pink carnation corsage. Mrs. Wedlock wore a brown and white knit dress with white of Hamilton, grandmother of the bridegroom, wore a royal blue figured dress and white carnation corsage.

For the wedding trip to eastern and southern Missouri and Arkansas, Mrs. Wedlock chose a pink dotted Swiss dress with empire waist-line and a white edged in pink carnation corsage. The couple will make their home in Chillicothe where Mr. and Mrs. Wedlock each have employment.

Mrs. Wedlock will attend the Chillicothe R-2 schools. A miscellaneous bridal also from those unable to Mrs. Tena Stockton and David Hughes assisted the honoree in opening her gifts. Refreshments of cake, punch, mints, and nuts were by Mrs.

Hughes and Those present were Mrs. Ruth Jones, Mrs. Tena Stockton, Mrs. Charles Hughes, Mrs. Floyd Hutcherson, Miss Pat Atkins, Miss Teresa Applegate, Mrs.

Lloyd Wedlock, Miss Rebel Blakely, Miss Gail Kaufmann, Miss Jennie Torre, Miss Brenda Hughes, Mrs. David Hughes, Miss Jan Tye, Miss Teresa Yeomans, and gifts were sent by a number of persons unable to attend. HAD VISITORS Visitors during the week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rice and daughter, Mrs.

Hattie Goff, Wheeling, were Mrs. Tennis McNally and Mrs. Wayne Seifert and children, Wesley, Toby and Amy, on Thursday; Mrs. Leah Goff and grandchildren, Kerri Beth and Michael Goff of Chillicothe, on Friday. Garry Goff of Chillicothe called Thursday to see his grandmother, Mrs.

Hattie Goff, and Mr. and Mrs. Rice of Wheeling. Mrs. Lloyd Hicks and Tammy and aunt, Mrs.

Harold Harris Crowe, 56,1518 Calhoun, died at 11:26 o'clock last night at the family home.

He had been in failing health 18 months and seriously ill a week. He was born Jan. 20, 1916 at Chula, He attended the Chula High School and was a member of the Union Baptist Church. On Dec. 18, 1948 he married Arolene Jones at Trenton.

They have spent their married life in the Chillicothe area. Mr. Crowe was the owner of the Apco tank wagon service. He is survived by his wife of the home; his mother, Mrs. Charlotte Hert, Chula; a son, Gaylen Crowe, of the home; a step-son, Herman Jones, Excelsior Springs; two brothers, Orville Crowe and Gerald Crowe, Chula; three sisters, Mrs.

Melvin Singleton, Hale; Mrs. Dorothy Capps, Chula; and Mrs. James Wright, Gallatin; and three grandchildren. Funer.al services will beheld afternoon at 2.o'clock 3 at the Union Baptist church at Sturges, with the Rev. Clifford Wrisinger officiating.

Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home. The body will be removed from the Norman Funeral Home at 12:30 o'clock Sunday to the church.
