Edgcomb was a former director of the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, and was a member of the Iron and Steel Institute. Surviving are a son, Leslie Jr; a daughter, Mrs. Charles S. Hale; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 A.M.

Wednesday at Oliver H. Bair's, 1820 Chestnut St. Streets, its headquarters is now in Andalusia, Bucks County. He was president of the firm until 1961, but he continued as chairman of the board until 1969, when he retired upon acquisition of Edgcomb Steel by the William Companies of Tulsa, Okla. During his period as the firm's chief executive, Mr.

Edgcomb expanded its business to include sites in N.C., in 1948; York, in 1951; Greensboro, N.C., in 1958; and Greenville, N.C., in 1968. Since becoming i Leslie Edgcomb, founder and former president and cffaifman of the board of the Edgcomb Steel died Sunday at his home, 342 Llan-drillo Bala Cynwyd. He was 88. iMr. Edgcomb was born in Limerick, Maine, and attended Tarton Academy and the University of Maine.

He came to Philadelphia as a young man and became vice president and general manag er of Edgar T. Wards Sons steel distributors here. -In 1923 he formed the Edgecomb Steel Co. here. Originally at 11th and Cambria Joseph P.

Of Judge, Joseph P. Cavanaugh, a retired trucking firm owner and father of Common Pleas Court Judge James R. Cavanaugh, died Monday at Frankford Hospital. He was 88 and lived at the Arrott Arms Apartments, Arrott Cavanaugh, Father Retired Trucker Helen Emgarth, 71, Interior Designer Helen H. Emgarth, a retired interior designer, died Saturday in Lankenau Hospital.

She was 71 and lived at The Mermont, Wynnewood. Miss Emgarth retired three years ago after a career ihat began in 1921 following-her graduation from Philadelphia Museum and Scfiool-of Industrial Art, now PhjfatJelphia College of Art. He originally was associated with his late father, Peter and brother, Martin, in Peter F. with several well known decorating firms, the most recent, Witte Interiors, 1631 Locust St. Miss Emgarth had been interested in Franco-American activities and was a director of the French Benevolent Society here. A sister, Annette H. Emgarth, survives.

Burial will be at 1 P.M. today in West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Tony Zale, Ken Overlin and Tami Mauriello. He was the Golden Gloves champion of Philadelphia and champion of the Amateur Athletic Union in eastern Pennsylvania. He fought in main events in Philadelphia, New York, Washington and Chicago, but Ex-Baker He was a Mason and member of the 32 Carat Club.

Surviving are his wife, the former Esther Mirrow; a daughter, Mrs. Norman Bali-ban, and a son, Burton. Services will be at 11:30 A. M. Wednesday at Goldstein's, 6410 N.

Broad St. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. the Temple Alumni Association, the Artisans and Ochremover Zangwill Beneficial Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Katz; a Mrs. Roslyn Egre, SlAatJiony Ciacco, a third-rUnSed middleweight prize-figker in the late 1930s, died Monday of a hSaft -attack.

eve. Cavanaugh and Sons, a trucking firm at 113 Chestnut St. The sons renamed the firm Cavanaugh Brothers when their father died in 1923 and operated it until 1942, when they sold it and retired. Martin Cavanaugh died in 1972. Mr.

Cavanaugh was former vice president of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association and for many years was a director of the First National Building and Loan Association, Frankford. Mr. Cavanaugh also is survived by four other sons: Edward Joseph P. John M. and Thomas three daughters, Mrs.

Rita M. Cleary, Mrs. Margaret Read-inger and Mrs. Regina Wei-land; 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 A.

M. Thursday at St. Joachim's Church, Church and Griscom Streets. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. he never fought for the world middleweight title.

In his career, he was managed by Chris Dundee and seconded by Angelo Dundee, now the manager of Muhammad Ali. Since giving up fighting 30 years ago, Mr. Ciaccio had worked in maintenance at the B. F. Goodrich plant in Oaks, near Norristown.

He lived at 1766 Sheffield Norristown. Surviving are his wife, Carmella, two sons, a daughter, four grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters. Services will be at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Plymouth Township, with burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery in East Norriton. two brothers, a sister, two grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.
