--James M. Scott and daughter, of Dykes, spent last Friday night in our city. While in town Mr. Scott called and advanced his 1Ikhai.ii date to November, DHLS. Arthur and Charley Duke have been arrested for lighting, the disturbance taking place Saturday evening.

On March PI, lsTtt, he was married to Bettie Roberson and to this union were bo: seven children, six ot whom, together with the wife, survive him. He was an honored ritiaen, a faithful and loving husband and father and left a host ol friends and relatives to mourn their loss. lie died in the faith and during his last hour-here he tried to sing the song, "We are going home to die no mure," and 'here is reason to believe thai he is now enjoying 1 he blessings of that eternal home here sickness, sorrow and death never come.
