proposed expenditure in East Texas would be for a new post office building in the following towns: Gladewater, Greggton, Omaha, Carthage, Overton, Troup, Wills Point, and Winnsboro, $70,000. The total cost of the federal building projects announced by the committee was $146,421,000. They will be submitted for consideration in any future building program authorized by congress, an Associated Press dispatch to the Journal said. These projects, it was announced. are not included in the $130,000,000 public building authorized last year but will constitute of eligible projects if congress decides to expand that program.

The thicket, about 30 miles north: of here, is also near the Pecos river which was dragged and dynamited in September, 1935, when an abandoned automobile and a collie dog identified as belonging to Mrs.

McDermott, were found on the bank of an irrigation canal near the river. Officers then decided the occupant of the automobile who disappeared was Mrs. McDermott, basing their theory on a purse containing papers, which was found in the automobile. The scattered bones were found by J. F.
