Mr. Milton since opening his shop a few weeks ago, has been very successful with it. New Electrical Shop Opened. C. Hayes, the electrician, has resigned his position with the Bell Telephone Company and has opened up an electrical store in tho Elfgen Building near State and Elm streets.

Mr. Hayes will devolo his entire time to this business. North Side in a commercial is coming to tho front by degrees. Now, with the aid of the North Side Improvement Association, it may not be long before we have a voice in Greater Alton. I.

D. Won First Game. The baseball season opened yesterday, when the I. D. played the Brussels' Bear Cats at Brussels, 111.

A large number of fans accompanied the home team to Brussels and helped cheer them on to victory, they having defeated the Bear Cats 6-4.
