6-B i 15, 1976 Philadelphia Inquirer Death Notices Death Notices Obituaries A. Benjamin Scirica, at 66; president judge of Montco court Robert B. Logan Robert B. Logan, 72, a retired engineer for the FMC Corp. in Marcus Hook, died Sunday at his home in Chester Springs after a short illness.

Mr. Logan retired in 1969 as a senior process engineer, having worked for FMC for 15 years. He was a charter member of the Philadelphia chapter of the Instrument Society of America and was an active ham radio operator, a hobby he enjoyed for many years. Mr. Logan is survived by his wife, Gertrude, a son, Robert and a daughter, Centa M.

Logan, all of Chester Springs. Funeral service and burial will be private. who settled in Norristown around 1900, Judge Scirica became the first Italian-American judge in Montgomery County when he was appointed to the bench seven years ago. Subsequent to his appointment, he won election to a 10-year term in 1971. Judge Scirica was a 1931 graduate of Ursinus College where he was president of his class during his senior year.

He was a 135-pound quarterback on his college's team from 1929 through He captained the team in his senior year. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania Law school for two years. When he was appointed president judge, he said he felt that his most urgent task was the expansion of the county court. Surving in addition to his wife and son are a daughter, Mrs. Nina Kings-dale, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were not yet completed. Benjamin Scirica, 66, the president judge of Montgomery County's Court of Common Pleas, died Sunday of a heart attack while attending a meeting of the Pennsylvania Bar Association in Bermuda. His son, Anthony J. Scirica, an attorney and Republican state representative from the 148th District 'Plymouth Meeting), said he did not yet' know details of his father's death. Anthony Scirica said his father had been attending the meeting with his mother, the former Anna Sclafarri.

He said his mother was flying home with the body late Sunday night. Judge Scirica became the president judge of the Montgomery Court of Common Pleas on March 31 of this year. The State Supreme Court exercised its constitutional power to name the new president judge after the 11-member county court split on whether to select Judge Scirica or Judge Robert W. Honeyman. Dr.

George Dr. George L. Cole 44, a child psychiatrist, died Thursday of a heart attack while playing golf in Clemonton, N. J. Helived on Shawnee Road in Ardmore.

In addition to holding severa teaching positions, Dr. Cole served the last 12 years as clinical director of the children's unit of the Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, at Henry Avenue and Abbottsford Road. Hie lived at 6009 King-sessing Ave. Mr. Merryman had been a security guard for 23 years. His last eight years were spent at Wistar Institute, 36th and Spruce Streets. He was an Army veteran of World Wai II and the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, the former Agnes Cubbage; one brother, William Merryman, and two sisters, Mary Marcarelli, and Helen Merryman. Morris Fineman, 79, a dentist for 53 years in the Olney section of Philadelphia, died Friday at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, Northern Division.

Dr. Fineman, who had his office in his home at 5601 North Camac Street, was a graduate of Central High School and Temple University Dental School. He was still practicing dentistry at his death. He served in the Marine Corps during World War I. He was a member of the Philadelphia County and Pennsylvania dental associations.

He is survived by his widow, the former Ruth Mayer; a son, Alan, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at Rosenberg's Raphael Sacks, and burial was in Adaph Jeshurun Cemetery, Philadelphia. Louyse Barclay Louyse Warfield Barclay, 73, widow of the late stockbroker George Goddard Barclay, died Thursday at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She lived on Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr.
