SHORT DELAYS YESTERDAY IN LIGHT SERVICE The very short lapse in the current of the Empire District Electric company yesterday was caused by a tree being cut on Park street, which fell across the power lines. The time tho power was off was only a moment, or at any rate a very short time, before service was restored. At noon, anuiher short lapse was caused by some one who threw a length of barbed wire over the lines at Wela Park.

The trouble was detected immediately, but this lattoi trouble was uncalled for, and the attention of the public should be directed to the danger of such an action. In this case the. person who committed the act evidently did so with willful intenton'to cause trouble, for both ends of the wire had boon voighted and one end thrown across the lines.
