(AP) A body tentatively identified as that of a missing grocery clerk, Phillip Kirk Latimer, was found Thursday along the Sacramento River about one-half mile north of the spot where the body of his co-worker was found Wednesday. The store owner reported Monday that $1,200 was missing from the safe. MeCandless body, with a deep gash in the back of the head and a bullet wound in the leg, was discovered by fishermen Wednesday. MeCandless was planning to enter a Roman Catholic seminary to become a teaching brother and Latimer was planning to enter law-school.
