Ernest Prewett, 66, of New Hope, died Friday of burns he suffered when the plane ignited gas pumps at a grocery store as the pilot attempted a crash landing on a road. Gertrude Harwood Loveland, 81, a high school teacher in the Philadelphia public school system for 44 years, died Thursday at the Bucks Statesman Nursing Home. She lived at 6211 N. 13th Philadelphia. Mrs. Loveland taught at West Philadelphia, Overbrook, Kensington, Roxborough and Olney high schools before she retired in 1962.

She also painted, and there were many shows of her work in the Philadelphia area. Mrs. Loveland was a graduate of Girls High School, where she was a Gold Medal Scholarship winner, and of the Survivors University include of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Russell I. Keefer two.

grandchildren; a great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy H. Marshall. A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday i in the First Presbyterian Church, 771 Pennsylvania Morrisville.
