Mrs. Moran combined games of 199, 203 and 202 into a 604 series in the Ladies Class A In other area action, Tom Orr rolled a 653 in New Philadelphia Class A to lead Boulevard men. At Kinser Bob Gudridge bowled a 656 series in Men's All County and Alyce Perkins recorded a 550 in Kinser Ladies. Joe Miller socked 682 series in Sugarcreek Industrial.

The Tornado wrestler demolished the Massillon Tigers Thursday by a 53-9 spread. Dover won all but the opening and final matches while running their season record to 9-1-1. Juniors to begin tourney The first of three local annual tenpin tournaments to be extended over the next nine days gets underway Saturday when the Dover-New Philadelphia Junior Bowling Assn. stages team competition in Sugarcreek Lanes. with eight boys' teams and five girls' squads participating. The junior keglers then move to Kinser Lanes Sunday for doubles competition. Ten pairs of girls and 12 pairs of boys will compete in the competition which commences at 2p.m. Two other tournaments, the 14th annual Dover-New Philadelphia Men's Bowling Assn. tourney and the 20th annual Dover-New Philadelphia Women's Bowling Assn.

People Manuscript halted Prom Our Wire Services Attorneys for country music singer Johnny Cash and his wife June have been granted a temporary restraining order preventing the publication of a manuscript prepared by Mrs. Patricia M. Holt, who was retained by the Cash's to decorate their home. Mrs.

Holt, who has previously published pictures of the Cash home, said that her attorney will file an answer to the Cash action. The book in question is a 50- page picture book of the Cash family and their home. Melissa Babish, Miss Teenage America of 1969, will marry Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback Terry Bradshaw next April. Bradshaw met Miss Babish of Cuddy, when he was her escort at the 1970 Pageant sources in Belgrade, Yugoslavia have reported that U.S. chess champion Bobby Fischer may come to that nation soon to discuss conditions for his world chess title match against Soviet title holder Boris Spassky.

Britain's action-loving Prince Charles has chalked up another first by making a submarine-style escape from a depth of 100 feet in a water-filled tower. The escape drill is part of naval training Speaking in Chicago, Thant, former secretary general of the United Nations praised President Nixon's visit to Peking as "a new chapter in human history." John J. Irwin the quick-talking teenaged con man whom police say bilked hotels and airlines out of $75,000 during a six-month vacation in Florida and the Bahamas, was back in jail in Cincinnati Thursday. Irwin, 19, walked out of jail last Sunday wearing a disguise. He was arrested at a service station near Cincinnati Wednesday night by an Ohio Highway patrolman.

Irwin was arrested after an attendant recognized him and called the patrol. He had been jailed on charges of larceny by trick and embezzlement. Leonard Woodcock, president of the United Auto Workers, says the FBI should investigate fully a reported murder attempt on farm labor leader Caesar Chavez. Federal and local officials said the only information of a plot against Chavez was received from Larry Shears, a self- described independent paid police informer. Woodcock told a news conference in Washington that he would ask the FBI to reopen the investigation rather than "wait until this man is killed.

PATRICIA M. HOLT Ross sets point mark at St. Mary's Ronnie Ross set a grade school basketball record for Dennison St. Mary's Thursday night when he scored 36 points in the 8th grade's 63-33 win over host New Philadelphia Sacred Heart. Mark Faniola also had 12 for the visitors.

St. Mary's record is now 5-5. Jeff Walters with 19 points and Scott Oberholzer with 15 led the 7th grade to its seventh win without a loss, downing Sacred Heart 44-32. Mitch Mascotti had 11 for the losers. The two 7th grade squads have a rematch Thursday.

Sandy Valley frosh victors SANDYVILLE The Cardinal 9th graders of Sandy Valley took a 42-38 decision from the visiting Northwest freshman Thursday. Sandy Valley (9-4) was led by Jim Pancoast with 14 points and Gene Easley with 13. Northwest was led by Jim Venables with nine points. The Cardinal frosh entertain the Fairless Falcons Tuesday Methodists stay unbeaten In Junior High Church League action Thursday night at the YMCA, New Philadelphia First Methodist downed Jerusalem United Church of Christ 23-18 and New Philadelphia First Baptist slipped past New Philadelphia Emmanuel Lutheran 19-16. Casey Reeves and Bob Pell pacedFirstMethodist's attack with 10 and six points, respectively, while Doug Pollock potted eight markers for Jerusalem.

5. 100 can see Sbuth games on video tape GNADENHUTTEN Indian Valley South High School officials have announced they will be able to accommodate 100 additional fans for tonight's game with Tuscarawas Central Catholic and Saturday's battle with Strasburg. Both games are Inter-Valley Conference contests and both are sold out. The games will be seen via closed-circuit video tape in the Port Washington school band room. Admission will be 50 cents with fans asked to enter at the rear of the school.
