1 Death Notices Death Notices Death Notices (ftF Sunday, July 3, 1977 Obituaries Philadelphia Inquirer David Dyen, dentist, educator Dr. David L. Dyen, 74, a dentist and a specialist in oral medicine, died Friday at West Park Hospital. Formerly of Philadelphia, he had moved to Pompano Beach, in 1972. He had returned here for medical treatment.

Dr. Dyen received a degree In pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and S.cience in 1921, and graduated from Temple Univer Dean A. Theodos, 70 Dean A. Theodos, 70, well known in Philadelphia's Greek-American community, died Wednesday at Lankenau Hospital. In March, Mr.

Theodos, of 416 Sprague Penn Valley, was decorated by the primate of the Greek Orthodox Church in the Americas, Archbishop Iakovos. MiCTheodos was a former director of SC George Cathedral, a former president of the Greater Philadelphia Irl Bailly, aftist who was paralyzed Astouiatei rrext LUNENBURG, Canada Earl Bailly, 74, who became an internationally noted artist although his arms and legs were paralyzed from childhood, died Friday at his home in this Nova Scotia town. Paralyzed by polio at the age of 3, Mr. Bailly learned to paint by holding a brush in his teeth and working with a special easel he devised that could be raised or lowered electrically. Many of his paintings hang in the National Art Gallery in Ottawa.

His work was also displayed at shows in Philadelphia, New York," London and Paris. Ii his later years, Mr. Bailly was often. driven about the Nova Scotia countryside by his brother Donald in a specially equipped van. Despite his handicap, Mr.

Bailly was an ardent yachtsman and painted many marine scenes. Dr. Dyen formerly had an office at 7601 Castor Ave. He was an instructor In oral medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry from I960 to 1968, and from 19S8 to 1972 Dr. Dyen was also director of the Endodontics at the Sausser Clinic at Jefferson Hospital.

Dr. Dyen had been on the staffs Hercules-Spartan Chapter of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, and a former president of the Philadelphia Federation of American Hellenic Societies. Mr. Theodos was a Mason. He was a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and worked in real estate.

He was president and one of the founders of the St. George Athenagoras Manor Senior Residents Home, Ninth and Locust Streets, which is scheduled to open in September. He also was a former president of the Philadelphia Liquor Dealers Association. Mr. Theodos was born In Springfield, but lived in Philadelphia most all his life.

He was a graduate of Lincoln Preparatory School in Philadelphia. Survivors include his wife, the former Minerva Lagakos; a son Dean a brother, Peter and a sister, Catherine Gianotis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 256 S.

Eighth St. Leo DiArenzo Leo DiArenzo, 64, a retired tailor, died Wednesday at his home at 520 Beatty Road, Springfield, Delaware County. Mr. DiArenzo, a veteran of World War II, had worked for the Louis Goldsmith Co. in Philadelphia for 45 years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Concetta F. Anibroselli; a brother, Joseph; a daughter, Mrs. Lenara Paciocco; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Vitullo and Angelina Smedile, and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m.

Donnelly, 68, auxil iary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Hartford and a highly regarded labor mediator, died Thurs day at a hospital here after suffering a seizure at his home.

A native of New Haven, he was ap pointed a mediator for the state in 1945. He was elected chairman of the state Board of Mediation and Arbi tration in 1949 and served in that ca pacity for many years. Bishop Donnelly was chairman of the Committee on Farm Labor of the National Conference of Catholic Bish ops. Cesar Chavez, president of the farm workers union, is expected to give a Bible reading at the bishop funeral Wednesday at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford, according to a diocesan spokesman.

Leonard Foti, 66, executive Leonard T. Foti, 66, retired president of Rosa Food Products Co. 1312 Federal distributors of Italian food products, died Wednesday at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He lived at 2531 S. 21st St.
