The firemen from hose house number 1 and their friends enjoyed a banquet at the hose house yesterday afternoon, The members of the company purchased a GO pound pig from the country and killed and'dressed it themselves. It was roasted and served as the part of a banquet. The mayor and a number of other city officials were guests at the banquet yesterday afternoon. Camerata Chfcrus Will Not Have Open Meeting This Month The Camerata Chorus has decide! that, owing to the illness of so many of its members, that the open meet ing which was to have been held to night will be postponed, and that the open meeting of January will be com blned with that of February. The joint meeting will be held the las Monday night of February.

At tho February meeting the worn composers of America and the Am erican orchestra and opera will be discussed. A. Don Stocker and son, Raymond, will assist in giving the program. The regular meeting of the chorus will be held on this evening and al are. urged to be present.

Miss Mildred Haynes to Sing For W. Benefit Miss Mildred Haynes, daughter C. Miss Carrie Sternberg Weds Henry Sessel of Alton, The parlors of the Washington Ho tol in St. Louis were the scene of a pretty wedding Sunday afternoon at o'clock when Miss Carrie Sternberg of St.

Louis, a sister of J. H. Stem berg, of this city, and formerly of Alton, became the bride of Henry Sessel, a prominent Alton clothier. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Leoii Harrison and was witnessed by a small gathering of thirty relatives and very intimate friends.

The couple was unattended. The bride made a charming appearance, gowned in white Georgette crepe. Her costume was completed by a chic white hat, and a corsage bouquet of valley miles. Following tho wedding the guests were invited into tho private dining room of tho hotel where an fight course dinner was served. During the dinner, music, furnished by a string orchestra and Hololst, was enjoyed.
