He was a blues enthusiast and a self-taught harmonica and keyboard player, and he enjoyed fishing.

He was a member of two Masonic groups, Prince Edward Lodge No. 1 and Royal Arch Lodge, and belonged to the Good-fellows social club. His 1961 marriage to Francis Jenkins ended in divorce. He was a longtime member of All Saints Baptist Church on Lau-; rens Street. Services were held yesterday.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William C. Smith III of Baltimore; two daughters, Maureen Joe of Baltimore and Angelia Robinson of Los Angeles; his mother, Louise Chase of Baltimore; and three grandchildren. William Charles Smith a longshoreman and co-owner of a printing company, died of a heart attack Thursday at his Northwest Baltimore home. He was 64. Since 1975, Mr.

Smith and his wife had owned and operated Efficiency Press Inc. in the 3200 block ofW. Belvedere Ave. "We print everything but money," said the former Marian Penn, married Mr. Smith in 1969.
