Taylor left at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning for Springfield, where they will make an extended visit with friends and relatives. Mr. Taylor has been succeeded by T. B. Knox, who was transferred from the Little Rock store, where he wns manager, to fill the vacancy created by Mr.

Taylor's transfer. Mr. Knox had been in Little Rock about four months, coming from St. Louis, where he was associated with the Wool-worth store No. 4.

NEGROES FIGURE IN WRECK Two automobiles were badly dam-amed, Shelby Steel, negro, was painfully injured, C. A. (Bosco) Snod-grass, negro, will probably be permanently injured from the scare he recoived, ana two other negroes were badly shaken up as the result of a smash-up between two cars at Ninth and Walnut streets, about Monday noon. A car belonging to the Little Rock Compress Company, it is said, ran into the car driven by Bosco. Both cars were going in the same direction, when the one driven by Westberry crashed into the rear end of Bosco car.

Steel was the only occupant of either car who was injured. He was taken to the Bush Memorial (negro) hospital in an Owens Co. ambulance. It Is said that he has one rib broken and many minor bruises. The drivers of the two cars were ordered to appear In Municipal court Tuesdav afternoon to answer to a charge of reckless driving.
